Intake with no castings??
Can any one tell me what I have here? Harold Souza of Souza Bros. Machine in Hayward CA sold me this manifold and told me it is a '66 original 427 FOMOCO manifold but it has no casting numbers on it but it has the FoMoCo logo on it. Harold has been building/racing FE's for over 30 years and he does not know...
This manifold has been sitting on his shelf for well over 20 years.

FOMOCO numbers
mrmike, you have a piece of history. thru the back door of the ford river foundry came literally dozens of different types of manifold and head designs with the logo during 1964-1969, for nascar and transam improvements. i have several that i've collected over the years with no lineage in the ford parts books.
looks great and keeps em guessing.

Wow, I have an original ad for that manifold out of Car Craft in 1965 but have never seen one.

hmm.. well It's like owning the first one of anything I guess.. original very early (pre) production and prototype stuff is just really cool.

I have a single 4bbl aluminum intake with no casting numbers either, just the firing order. My builder said it was a low rise 427
intake.
