help identifying a 427 engine

Looks like you are already set up to pluck it out of the box with an engine hoist. Just dangle it in the air and take pics of the front, back and both sides of the block above the pan. You should also be able to find the numbers just above the oil filter then too. As I said, numbers will look like the ones on the head with the CxAE-xxxx-x, where the x's are the variable numbers that will help us ID the block. Even without the numbers, the pics will help nail it down pretty close.
