Keith Craft 482 8 Stack EFI Engine Build

This is a really nice Engine build we just finished. This engine was based on a Pond Aluminum Block, 4340 Steel Crankshaft, H-Beam Rods and Diamond Pistons to start the short block. We topped it off With a set of are Famous CNC Ported Stage II heads, Matching Hydraulic Roller Camshaft and T&D rockers. The Intake we used is the New Borla 8 Stack EFI intake that we port matched to the heads. And a Fast Computer System. This engine made 612hp and 576 on torque. This should be a hand full in a 2000lbs Cobra. If you have any questions

Sweet!

How much does this efi system cost, how does it compare to the Inglese

olddog 07-25-2015 10:14 AM

All my life I wondered why did the FE design have part of the head attached to the intake manifold, by all (most) other engine standards. This intake explains it all too me. That engine looks perfect!

Ford probably wanted to balance out the weight between the cylinder heads and the intake. Either that, or they were conspiring to make back surgeons rich off all those foolhardy enough to lean over a fender and attempt lifting a cast iron FE intake by without a hoist.

There seems to be a problem with the KC website?

I realize this is a older thread, but is there a dyno sheet on this exact engine ?

DanEC 07-22-2016 04:30 AM

Since Keith has backed out of the business it's run by Lance and Tony now from what I understand. Not sure that he drops in on this forum anymore. You may have to call up Craft Performance Engines and ask them, but I'm sure they have a dyno report on it since Keith reported HP & T on it and they have an in-house dyno facility.

FUNFER2 07-22-2016 07:01 AM

Great. Thanks for the reply.

Dyno Sheets

If you go back to the top of this thread, there is a photobucket link that shows the dyno sheets.

FUNFER2 07-22-2016 07:20 AM

Thanks. I was on my tablet last night and I could not zoom in,... to see the sheet, now that I'm on my desk top, I can.

That motor with the injection is what I'm shooting for, if I can afford it anyway. Need to sell some toys and car parts to build another engine.
Again, thanks !

FUNFER2 07-22-2016 07:23 AM

Well WTF, I looked at it but now when clicking on the link, it only shows one pic of the engine ? Try it and see.

cdnus 07-22-2016 08:23 AM

Works for me.

DanEC 07-22-2016 10:47 AM

I missed that.

I don't know what happened last night, but it works for me now too. **)

Wish it showed the rpm's lower than 4,500.
