My experience is getting dated, but I bought two Griffin radiators about ten years ago and I was not happy with the experience.

Fluidyne or Ron Davis would be the way to go. My Kirkham came with a Fluidyne and I have a Ron Davis in my track Mustang . Both are very well made and fit like a glove.

Howe would be a 3rd option, the welding is superb.

Default What does FF recommend??

Herman 1 They should have their own radiaotrs that mount in there cars. I have run Griffin for 8 years and no failures. There was nothing wrong with the ERA copper one either. I had an overheating problem with an FE motor. The best thing was to find a Dodge 383-440 thermostat and trim the outside edge down 2mm to fit in the manifold. This will stop alot of running hot or overheating. 180f IMO is the best one to use on just about all motor combo's. Good luck with the build. Rick L. ps have friend that dirt track and uses a Howe, It get dirt and debrie hits. Only get 2 years out of them but they can take a hit and the fins are easy to straighten between heats. We power wash the debrie out the inlet and air dry. Pressure washer is 1,800psi and air is about 110-120 psi to dry. No holes from this to date.
