Im in NC, north of Greensboro.... Engine systems out side of Atlanta built the Fe I have.. its a 390 block with the 445 stroker kit... Hydraulic roller, BT heads and intake. Very mild cam. Its making 450.
Do you have a budget yet.. I think in a earlier post you said a 428 cost to much... I didn't think there was much difference in the dollars for parts . Then you started talking about Aluminum blocks... Iron blocks builds are FE... Freeking expensive. Good luck with it all.We need more FEs.

[quote=RodKnock;1396730]They're rocket ships, no doubt about it. They were cool at first, especially the Roadster (Tesla's 1st car), but now they're ubiquitous. It's like a Prius around here. They're an appliance.[/QUOTE
They are everywhere here also. Some of the Tesla folks can be a bit annoying IMO. Plus, everything on those cars except the driveline falls apart. For $120-14k that's certainly not where I'd spend my $. But they are quick

 | Yep, I was at a car show just last week and a 427 style car pulled in. When the fella lifted the hood there was a SBF in there. Two younger children saw it and began to cry. I had suspected as much because the "rumble" just wasn't there. When one of the kids asked the owner why he didn't have a big block under the hood he mumbled some sort of apology and "the small block engine is just as good." He left shortly thereafter.:( Yes, we need more FEs in these cars. |

 | Kids - really? Most of them probably think a V6 Camry is a big block. %/ |

You know, there are three or four builds, that are ongoing, and that we haven't had an update on in months. This is one of them.%/ |

 | Ok, ok. Give me a couple of days and I will start one. I am going out of town, and will get on it when I get back. I have been sitting in the garage drooling for the past few hours. |
	|
Looking forward to it. The snow is flying and I need something to keep me going. |

Back to the topic... as for me living in NC... its amazing to me that with all the Nascar crap around here that there are not any that I can find FE builders... Im talking builders that are into FE.. I hope to be on the road this spring and I'm going to ride up to Leonard Woods house and get him to take a picture under my hood like he is tinkering with my carb. He doesn't live to far from me.

Peter recommended a guy in CT, who is obviously solid. If all else fails i will end up going with him.

 | Got an update for us? Who is the guy in CT. I am in western nc, looking for a builder. I'm looking at having Vintage motorsports in CT assemble a BDR for me, so an engine builder in CT might help with logistics. |
