Default Unique Way to Find 428
I had a tough time fining a 428 as well. Junk yards, word of mouth didn't work. I rented a big trailer signboard (yellow ones with changeable letters) and put it on the side of the #1 highway in Canada. It said looking for a Ford 427 or 428 engine...please call...

Within 2 weeks I had 4 leads - 1 CJ fully race prepared $5K Canadian, 1 1966 Police Interceptor in a show truck (the one I purchased - $5500) and 2 in cars. The sign was great at generating leads. Just an idea...
