Hi Pat,
Yes, the one hard-line is -10 (5/8) 6061 aluminum. I wanted to make more hard-plumbed lines but my bender won't give me a tight enough radius and the flaring tool needs length to work with. The stuff is a ***** to work with but it is tough as nails. And looks cool and different which is the main point. --Mike |

483 CI Tunnel Port
Hi Chas,
I'm the lucky guy that gets to put that monster motor in my cobra! Mike's attention to detail is evident in the photos, but to see it in person really takes your breath away. That same attention to detail was applied to the inside of this motor as well. This motor may look slightly modified from the outside, but nearly every piece of that engine has been modified in some way. The process has been painstakingly slow, but we hope the end result will be worth all the time and effort in both the performance and looks dept. We don't have time to put the motor on an engine dyno prior to the upcoming installation, but a dyno run is in the future. The Demons were hard to beat for the price and many of the people I spoke to were happy with their own results. We will have to wait and see how well they work in this application.:D Stay tuned! |
PCV at rear of intake photo...

The PCV is mounted in the rear of the intake in a aluminum plate and tube. The tube has 2 o-ring grooves cut inside it to seal the valve.
The stainless steel lines tee out from the vacuum port in the center of the intake. The other line is for the power brake unit. As Gene said, every piece of this engine has been modified in some way. The valve covers have a ton of work in them. They are Blue Thunder aluminum pent-roofs. I had to cut the ends of the covers off and move them out 1/4" to clear the Dove rocker end stands, then weld them back together and finish them smooth so we could have them chromed. They are highly modified but look like stock steel pent-roofs which is what I was shooting for. The alternator bracket, distributor hold down, oil filter adapter mount, oil thermostat bracket, PCV system, progressive throttle linkage, return style fuel log, even the lower crank pulley are all custom fabricated. I don't do this for a living, I only build 6 or so engines and 2 or 3 cars a year after work and on weekends. I do it to help pay for the Cobra I am building and to help my friends. And also, more importantly, I do it because I absolutley love it! --Mike |

What distributor did you use? I like the black cap but it looks like a MSD Pro Billet.
