Default Lowest price I can find on Edelbrock RPM FE heads

I start the build of my 390 in two weeks or so and have been searching for days trying to find the cheapest price on Edelbrock RPM FE 390-428 CJ heads complete part # 60069 and just wanted to pass along what I found.

HM-performance has them the cheapest. They have a 10% off everything through December 31
Everyday price is $630.29 take off 10% and you get them for $567.26 each. Shipping on the pair was $20.80 for both not one bringing the total for the set to $1155.32 delivered.

Summit will NOT match the 10% off but will undercut HM’s everyday price selling you the heads for $629.29 each

FlatlanderRacing has them for $1199.99 or $599.95 each.

Summit will undercut FlatlanderRacing price too and sell them to you for $598.95 each.

Here is the link to all the Edelbrock FE heads at HM-performance.

http://www.store.yahoo.com/hm-perfor...er-rpm-fe.html

Has anyone seen them for less?

Default heads

Flatlanders will also give you 10% off for Club Cobra Members. That comes out to $539.55 each or $1079.10 pr. + Shipping
See "member discounts" at top of page.
Let me know how you make out. I'll be buying mine soon also.
Summit also has free shipping.

Convincor,

Thanks for the info. I finally got a shipping quote back from FlatlanderRacing. They want $129 for shipping a set of RPM heads and an intake vs. $42 at HM.

Even with the 10% off, HM is $20 cheaper. I’m trying to find out if Flatlander has any other shipping options.

Well, Flatlander decided not to get back with me on a different method of shipping so I went with HM.

I could not order the RPM FE intake from HM. They told me they were out and Edelbrock told them they would not be available till March 05. What’s up with that?

Well, who is HM anyways? Take what you can get and go for it.

When you by a new car, is it still worth the paid price once you drive it out of the lot?????
Hope this guy is stuck with the heads.
I'd pay a couple hundred more to know I was getting new.

I am coming in here a little late but I saw the guy say he was looking for a Performer RPM intake, well we have them in stock right now. We do not keep many of the new heads complete but do keep a lot of the bare heads because we do them ourselves. I do not like buying the 427 heads and getting a 2.09 and 1.66 valve in it. The valve job is antique and the porting pretty rough. I will be glad to match this guys price to the Cobra Club guys though. Good luck and thanks, Keith Craft

Keith,

I am definitely interested. I have a 428 block, bored 30 over, and performer rpm intake, single carb. Quote me for the heads please!

As I said I will match the price on the out of box heads and treat you right on the shipping. Our stage 1 head runs 1495.00. We start with a bare castings, use our special order valves, our valve job for best flow, cut the valves to proper angles, bowl port and work the shortside, vacume test, cc chambers and mill to the desired specs, deburr, chamfer, clean and assemble with spring cups, dual springs and 10 degree retainers and locks[they come from Edelbrock with 7 degree retainers and locks]. We supply a build sheet with the parts used, assemble heights and spring pressures.
In your case we could use a 2.15 intake valve and the 1.66 exhaust valve for best results. Thanks and good luck, Keith

Flatlanders $1199 "out of the box" vs Keith C's $1495 with all that work done sounds like a good deal.

Keith C,
Would I notice a big difference with your heads over the "out of the box heads on a 390??
What could I expect for HP???

I feel the head would be worth about 25 to 30 HP easy over the out of the box heads on your 390 and have better components in them. Thanks, Keith

Keith,

Same for a 428 bored 30 over?

Sounds like a good deal. How much (total) to get them from you to my doorstep?

Mike
