Default harmonic balancer and pointer problem???
Just a simple question. Does my image show the approximate location of my balancer with the pointer??? Not the timing marks but the balancer being too far in or out. It just seems my old STOCK pulleys don't line up. The crank spacer is installed and crank bolt torqued down. I have an Edelbrock water pump.
I'm planning on using March FE pulleys #1910. Will spacers be necessary ???

I had to make a spacer on my lathe for one of the belt drive attachments. You may want to check a few things before you continue.

I mean by the look of it, the balancer is not on the crank all the way.

If it is, there is a good distance from the cover seal and the back of the balancer.

Just a thought.

Worked at ford in the day they built those. a lot of engines were built with whatever parts they could make fit due to supplier problems. you can't always go by the book for replacements
