relocation oil filters
Hello all,
I would like to know if most of the people are using remote oil filter with cooler? I was told that there would be a pressure lost and it is not recommended. I have a 427 SO. Please need help with decission Relocate or not to relocate? |

I have a 351 stroked out to 416 and I put a remote oil filter on it about 4 years ago. I never saw a bit of pressure loss. I did mine because it makes it a lot easier to change the oil filter without pouring the hot oil all over myself. Every one that I know around here has a remote oil filter on theirs. Ron |

I have 8' of -10 oil line, dual one quart filters and a cooler under the radiator. Total capacity about 3 quarts. I run a blueprinted Melling high volume pump and get 85 psi cold at speed, 75 hot. 50-55 cold at idle 40-45 hot.
A high pressure pump will get you 10-15 psi more across the board. |
