Scufty- sorry about hijacking your thread. My 390 fe has been bored over to a 410 cid. Would upgrading the heads make a huge difference or just a suttle change for a big buck and a lot of work? Are we adding let's say 50 hp or a 100 hp or just opening a whole can of worms where one thing leads to another. I can live with it the way it is now, but it's never enough when you can have more is it? Thanks

Hey snaka- no problem ..always learning,..sry guys I kinda got busy and wasnt able to check in on "my" thread very much LOL ..I am going to rip apart the engine this winter ...regasket and check everything over after the summer rebuild( way to many leaks etc ...Plus a few issues that Im not sure of) When I di O will ook at the casting numbers ...or even check them the next few days and post my findings....certainly look for some med riser heads if in fact mine are low risers...the intake on the motor now is a 390 intake...not sure why ...wasnt me hummm a,ot to think about here
