Boy, I remember the 'slick 50' hype, cure all, fix all, HP boost.....BS.
As stated earlier, MoS2 and the new Tungsten Disulphide (WS2) Powder, both of these beat everything else. Please, do your homework....

I think this misses the mark of the conversation. No one has claimed that MMO is any sort of 'cure all' or magic secret. It just has a set of specific uses (read Morris' post) for which it does very well. And yes, many of us 'do our homework' and have been doing so for quite some time. One thing of note in the MMO ingredient list is phosphorus which certainly has its uses. Comparing MMO to Fullerene nanotechnology is apples/oranges...MMO benefit (as discussed) is in static lubricity and not so much load carrying. Certainly molybdenum disulfide fits this same category. So, not 'bs', but a difference of opinion based on intended use.

FWIW, most every chemical ending in "ENE" is a carcinogen. Benzene, Xylene, etc. Best not to handle the stuff directly, i.e. coating assembly parts.
