Fe roller rocker arm set up with spacers

Does any one have a full set of roller rocker arms with the spacers in stock anywhere. I have tried and have been waiting from Feb for some. I wanted the crane set-up but will take anything at this point.

Eddy, is this part of the continuing saga of the three-minute death run? http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/fe-talk/80750-fe-gods-tell-me-what-engine-builder-did-me-here.html
Or did you finally get that straightened out?

I would avoid the Crane setup at all costs. Go to www.fordfe.com and do a search. I don't think there's a single positive thing to be said about the Crane setup over there.

There have been some complaints with the Crane setup. Eddy, I think if you post a WTB on the FordFE forum you can get an Erson setup like mine pictured below shipped to you pretty quickly. You might want to use a different wrench though for adjusting your valves.

I am quite pleased with my Ersons. I would recommend them. I run a solid, flat tappet cam 245/525 at .050 -- but the Erson's will handle much wilder cams.

The two year two month law suit is over it was settled out of court for $8160.00 but no were near what I lost. I am doing a new motor but now I am going though hell trying to get parts. Carl McQuillen racing engines out of Leroy New York was the builder of the first motor and thats all I will say on that.

I have been running the Erson rollers on my 428 first and now my 427. No complaints at all and I would buy them again.

Talk to Doug at precision oil pumps. www.precisionoilpumps.com

He has some very nice billet stands and shafts.

Ersons are da bomb.. That's what I have on my 482 and have operated flawlessly. You might give KCR a call as they usually have them in stock.

You will have good luck with Erson also Doug is a good contact at Precision Oil Pumps for most any FE part you might need.

I highly recommend them. I've had mine for about 5 years now with no problems.

Thanks guys

We use, stock, and recommend the Erson setup quite often for moderate builds. I have run them with up to 600 lb springs with no failures to date. There are a couple things to pay attention to.

First is that you need to use the AN washers supplied by Erson even if you choose to run studs for mounting - a standard large diameter washer will hit the rockers.

Second is that you will need to mark for and grind/machine reliefs on the bottom of the mounting stantions if you are using head studs instead of bolts.

You will want to restrict oiling (+/- .090) since the needle bearing design will "bleed" more than a traditional FE bushing style rocker.

Make sure to lube the roller tip for initial startup. Spray will take care of it from then on - but the tips are not directly lubed.

The Ersons are the best bang for the buck out there for a street or mild race engine. The T&D is the only way to go on engines over 600lbs spring pressure. I agree with all of the thigs that Barry recommends. He has been there like us but we are use to modifying some things. Use the rocker stud kit and the Erson washers like Barry recommened as well. They are really good to have in aluminum heads. We restrict to the top end as well. We keep them in stock if you need some. Thanks, Keith
