428 with romac balancer
I am building a 428 using the romac sports series #2019 dampner. I had all the assembly balanced but the machine shop did not have the spacer.Somehow they were able to balance it.Now I am assembling it and the balncer lacks about 1/4" from going all the way up on the crank. It is like the sleeve is too long or the balancer is too thick. Also the timing poiter is going passed the edge of the balancer.I am using a sleeve and cover from a 390.I was wandering has anyone run into this or does someone make a shorter sleeve or am I missing something here.I remember hearing from someone once that they had to shorten the sleeve to use a paticular balancer.Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
