Sorry, I forgot to mention the reason for removing the motor in this manor.
I have a cherry picker and have removed/installed the engine at my friends shop, out in the country by me but, it was hit by our tornado. It's not safe to use. I only have a single stall garage and driveway, and with having to come in with the lift from the side on our cobras, I can't put the lift on the grass.
So, anymore ideas ?

I pulled mine from the front, three times, no problem. I don't know why you need to come in from the side?? Was the cherry picker damaged by the storm? A chainfall's going to be a real PITA.

If,......I remember correctly, the arm on the cherry picker was not long enough.
I'll have to measure it and see what's up ?
