KSC- Cobra

I'm trying to add a picture, hopefully I'll get it right. I've installed the gauges that came with my kit, but the engine temperature gauge doesn't seem to work. Once the engine is started, the needle slowly climbs to the max temp and stays there. I heard something about a potentiometer that needs to be attached across the back of the gauge. Can someone explain to me what needs to be done?

Never heard that one before. If it is electric quite sure your sender is bad. If mechanical where do you have the sender plugged in?

I had a similiar problem with 66 Mustang and aftermarket dolphin gauges. The solution was in the sending unit. I had left the stock ford one on the car and installed the gauges. I had to go back to gauge provider and buy the sending unit. It was from a Mazda of all things.

My gauges are electric. Do your gauges look like mine? The ones I'm using came with the car.

Mine are stewart warner. I am not sure what brand yours are? The ones I had trouble with were on my mustang and were electrical and look very similar to yours i got them from speed hut. Speedhut.com. They also helped me work thru my problem with the temp gauge. Might be worth a try.

KSC- Cobra

I can't find a brand name anywhere on my gauges. I've looked at Auto Meter, VDO, Stewart Warner, and called SpeedHut. No one seems to be able to help me. My small gauges are 2 1/8" in diameter, no one even makes that size anymore. I've included a picture of the gauges in my dash. Does anyone recognize these gauges?

Impossible to tell from the picture, have you had one out of the dash to see if there are any markings on the back? Can you see if the gauge is mechanical or electric looking behind the dash?
