Gt-40
Bill
Thanks for the post of your build. And the pics are great. Please continue to post pics of your build. I'm very interested in a GT-40. I would like to know "everything" about building a GT-40. Is there space in the front for luggage? Is there room to add a luggage compartment? I have long trips in mind. Any and all information on GT-40s would be greatly appreciated. a toothbrush and a small comb are about the limit in my GT40

Spot on ENTDOC!!! :)

What's the status on the paint? I keep checking your web site to see some of the finish work. This might be one of the better (best) GT40 kit builds on the planet.
Thanks, -Dean |
Bill D. Really cool. Looks like you guys are doing a great job. Especially like the father/son building together. Looks like a very talanted boy
Thanks for sharing Mark |

long trips
Bill D is there space in the front where I could make a trunk? Do you have pics of the front area that you could post? I need just enough space for a medium size suitcase.

There is a spot...oh never mind.
Very nice job with the build thread.
I see that its going to be right hand drive? In CA:JEKYLHYDE  |
That would require bringing a whole new dimension to "fitted luggage"!
The car looks great and the build seems to be going well. A very special car for a father-son-son project! Carry on! |
Bill, looks like an awesome project! Those are some big a$$ tires stuffed in those wells. Tell us a little more about the wheels and tire combo...Tire cost and how soft (how long will they last on the street?).
|
Thanks Brent

Bill, I have over 11,000 miles on my GoodYear Blue Streaks from Roger Kraus Tires. Do you think your tires are about the same comp. or softer?
P.S. Looks awesome! |

You are making great progress. It is really good to see the work taking place. I would like my son involved in my next build. He is currently restoring a BMW 2002. A nice little car that is a total rebuild, with an M3 going in to motivate it. A nice way to learnhow to avoid skinning his knuckles..:3DSMILE: Yes, there is a real shortage of space in the GT40's. I travelled just on 8000 miles from Phoenix, Az. to London Ohio and back in the GT40 and found that we had soft bags stored in all different locations...%/ Early morning Phoenix, Az about to head off and put 8,000+ miles on the GT40....**) http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...tfrontview.jpg Once again thanks for posting progress photos Bernie |
