Looking for a GT 40
I purchased a used (700 miles) Superformance Daytona coupe.
I love the car. Now I am looking to buy a Superformance - preferably - GT 40. Used with very low mileage. Where can I find this car? Is there another manufacturer besides Superformance that offers a comparable, well built car? |

Would you consider an RCR (Race Car Replica)? If so there is a doctor here in Tulsa that has a spf Cobra and a RCR GT 40. The GT 40 is white with blue stripes. It has a 347 Stroker and normally aspirated. PM me and I will send you his email address. I think the mileage is less than 500 miles.

Check with Olthoff Racing. A friend who had a Ford GT and recently replaced it with a SPF GT40 got his there. He put the Roush 427R (same engine as my Cobra but normally aspirated) and not only is it cool but it is a rocket.

I have owned an SPF GT40 MK11(2103) and a CAV gt40 mk1. I sold the SPF and kept the CAV, mostly because I prefer the MK1 body style, but the CAV is just easier to drive day to day. It is quieter and more water proof(the SPF leaks from every where). Both are similiar quality, but the SPF is more authenic in its chassis design and suspension. I prefer the way the CAV front end hinges. The SPF has to be removed to do any work there and it is a pain. All GT40s are a challenge to drive in traffic and a SPF Daytona is easier than either a cobra or the GT to drive every day. If you have any questions I will be happy to help.

everything but the polished manifold and air cleaner, and the horrible blue and red fittings would have to go. Save those for the cruize in crowd.
