Default GT40 build

Hi guys, I am a car builder, but have never done anything with the GT40's. I now have 3 bodies 2 frames and alot of parts. I thought I could lean on the community for some help. The frame uses c-5 corvette rear suspension. The front is custom, I will need to fab these. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

I need to see the rear setup...

For the front you can use the Corvette as well. Just the rotors out of the "HD" version do not fit 15 inch wheels...

Front Vette setup....

Rear Vette internals and drive shafts...

Please post a few photos of your chassis, there have been a couple of ' body/chassis/ molds ' lots for sale in recent years, one of which had a lot of 'pretty' bends in the chassis, but lacked triangulation and therefore strength.

Default Rmc.....

Check out the "Active power gt40" chassis for ideas........ and the gt40s forum

G-pete, those rear uprights are DRB spec and not corvette although they do use the corvette bearings/brake brackets. (I bought a set from Mr Ransom for my KVA) Someone else modified the design to use on their current chassis so 15inch wheels would fit. Think aluminum mono chassis....... (nice job on your DRB)

Jac, what do you think of the Active power chassis? (sure has a nice turning radius unlike most manufacturers.......) S

Given that considerable effort has been made with regard to scrub radius that will be a plus especially to those being driven on the street. The chassis, it looks like it could do with a bit more triangulation, not much though.
