There are more pics in my Gallery but here is the best of the BACC guys helping me push it off of the trailer into the garage between the Daytona and the Shelby. Fabulous construction and attention to detail.....the only disappointment is that SPF has the Gurney Bubbles on backwards, they have the high end of the bubble forward instead of toward the rear where your head/helmet sits. Tony, when you ordered your car did you have the choice to choose different tail/rear half treatments? I noticed on your car that you don't have all the scoops and other stuff that distinguishes your MKI-II version from the later MKIII-IV versions. I personally like the look of yours better than the original "high ass end" look of the original SPF GT40s that were delivered...looks much cleaner. -Dean |
I think I saw this car in Reno, Mark 1 body style, almost had to rethink going with what I want. Gulf colors on this car is spectacular, very nice!

I like the look of the MK1 vs any of the other interations of the GT40. The LeMans winner is the car I saw in the Gulf Oil headquaters building with my Dad in 1970.......I've been lusting for it since then and I am living the dream. Hersh....the car will be fitted out in LA and I am hoping to have it at the "Wheels and Waves" show. We have our room reservations already and I am looking at my registration that came in the mail today. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...Bubble_003.jpg Here is a picture of the #9 car with the Bubbles in the right direction, this is from SuperCars Magazine edition #16, the bubbles on my SPF have the high point facing forward instead of directly over the drivers head....there are a few more pics in my gallery. Thanks for all the positive comments. Gene --- Good to see you last weekend and when it is done I will give rides to anybody that has an interest. David --- This car replicates the #6 car and the whole fuel injection route with computer, round trip fuel lines etc. etc. was not something I wanted to get into, I did all of that on my Daytona Coupe and it was more than I wanted to do again. BTW the Ford Motorsport valve covers are a temporary fixture, I have ordered a set of the Gurney Westlake Valve covers. Looking forward to bolting the engine onto the transaxel and converting from "Flintstones Powered" into a real car. Tony R. |

The numbers are pretty obvious.. Current SPF roller no options ie. Gurney Bubble, Ceramic headers, Install kit etc. $78K ZF transaxel $10k - $12k Engine $15K - $25K you name your own poison for a windsor Roush etc. Throw in your work, transportation, registration $100k - $120k without any value for the work. Not a cheap thrill but, a thrilling ride when you get done, (Hope my wife doesn't read this thread)%/ :JEKYLHYDE **) :eek: %/ :rolleyes: TR |
