Indiana Cobra Enthusiasts (ICE) ????

Does the Indiana Cobra Club ICE still exist? If so is there someone I can get ahold of to become a member?

Jim

Jim Wintz 03-16-2004 01:34 PM

Any clubs close to the southern Indiana / Ohio area at all?

Jim

BB427 03-16-2004 01:52 PM

Jim where are you in southern Indiana??

I live in Newburgh, just outside of Evansville.

Brent

Jim Wintz 03-16-2004 02:07 PM

I am in Batesville, I think that is about 4 hous from Evansville. I am about half way between Indy, and Cincinnati.

Jim

rdorman 03-16-2004 02:22 PM

I don't know about Indiana but there are a number of guys in the Cincinnati area. I have 133 members on the OCC mailing list. Try posting over on the Ohio Cobra Club forum and/or drop me an email and I will send you the current member list since I am not familiar with all the town names down around that area.

Hi Jim,
We're still around, just undergoing some changes. I live in Richmond and we frequently make the infamous Chicken Run through Metamora into Oldenberg. If you're in the Richmond area, I live on Chester Blvd. (US 27) and you're always welcome.;)

Jim Wintz 03-22-2004 02:39 PM

Great Dan,
I am from Batesville about 3 miles from Oldenburg,
and I know the chicken from this area, so I would love to be counted in. How hoes the organization work? Are their mambers, fees ect.. ect...
I know of 3 other Cobras in the area that might have owners that would also be interested, in fact one is the town marshall of Oldenburg, but I don't think he uses his Cobra for duty.

Jim,
we need to reorganize the club and establish regular gatherings. Generally the gatherings have been spontaneous, depending on the weather, but they've always been posted on the talk forum on Club Cobra. I believe Mike Bare lives near you and it's not too unusual for a group to gather at the Marathon station in Liberty for their Friday Night Cruise Ins. We'll keep you in the loop. Drop me a line at :
sudans2@insightbb.com
anytime you're in the area.

Jim Wintz 03-22-2004 02:55 PM

Mike was up at my place last fall with his Cobra and gave me a ride, super nice guy.

Will do, all I have to do now is get my Cobra completed.

Jim. I live in Carmel and I would be interested in any Indiana activities as well. I heard there were some other members in the Indianapolis area but I have not been able to locate them. I'd like to attend the June event in London, Ohio if anyone else is going.

Jim Wintz 03-23-2004 04:16 AM

I will be going again, however I will not have my cobra ready this year. I think that they get a little group that meets and goes up together if I recall what Mike had mentioned when he was up at my place. I would love to ride up with a group this year.

Now OK you guys don't forget to swear me in as an Honoury member.

I'll bring the beer.

Cheers

Dan Semko 03-24-2004 06:37 AM

Consider it done. Bernie is now our official foreign envoy. We'll let you know when our first official gathering is scheduled and will accept your proxy vote on all important ideas. You might be in charge of women and alcoholic beverage procurement!:D

BMK 03-25-2004 12:49 AM

:3DSMILE:

Thanks Dan - consider it done.

My taste in beer is well recognised. Now about the woman...

BB427

Did you catch up with the guys across at Evansville?

Three Cobras that quickly come to mind are Wayne's, Scotts and
Robs. All are participants in the Run N Gun They will contest to my beer and moonshine consumption.

That George Anderson led me astray.

Seriously - catch up with the boys if you can.

Cheers all

Bernie

Hey Brent,

Another Southern Indiana cobra here. I'm on the west side of Evansville.

Several of us get together (sometimes on short notice) and take trips or hit track events. We hit chandler and Bowling Green for over 100 passes last year.
I try to hit Putnam Park a couple times a year.

Send me your e-mail and I'll hollar when stuff is up. We put 450 miles on a couple weekends ago.

It has probably been a year since I read ClubCobra, so e-mail would be quicker.

As a side note. Who has the black cobra in town with the single roll bar? I have the black with double rollbars.

Good to hear that more cars are turning up.

When I was in Evansville I asked Wayne how many Cobras were in town and it appears that he was a little off in his guess.

More and more are turning up. Wayne's brother Rob took me for a good run around Evansville in his Cobra just prior to us heading off to the Run N Gun.

Hope to catch up with you all soon.

Cheers

Bernie

Webebob,

Good to hear from you. I am surprised to find out how many cars are in the area. I raced a Ford Probe at Chandler for years (in my gallery) so the track sounds great. I do work every saturday so time is short in the summer months.

I do not know who ownes the black car. I put some miles on mine last sunday and actually drove past Wayne's house to see if he was outside. No luck.

If you want to get ahold of me my work e-mail adress is where I seem to be all the time.

Did you happen to notice that the McDonald's Dinner has been closed down??

I just read that the two in Evansville are going to be re fitted as normal restaurants. My understanding is that these two dinners are the only two of this kind in the world.

Wayne and the guys kept me away from McDonald's and took me to all of the other restaurants. Expand my horizons they called it

I did sneak off one night and took a look at both of them. Really impressive.

Is the RV centre a 4 x 4 centre or a trailer home type business. I travelled with a couple for a while in Chicago and south, who had a 36 foot mobile. We kept bumping into each other a rest areas. It was the most impressive mobile I had seen.

Cheers

Bernie

PS....Believe that Wayne is currently down in Florida doing some fishing.

BB427 04-01-2004 03:40 PM

We sell everything from a small pop-up camper to a diesel bus.It is alot of fun but it does comsume alot of my time in the summer months.

Hi Brent,

We have a lot of the pop up campers here along with caravans. I think you call the caravans pull alongs.

The bigger fifth wheel type van don't exist. However the bigger mobile homes are starting to be seen here. Many of them are in from the States..

Send me a business address and I will mail you a catologue of these and you will see the prices.

Cheers

Bernie
