Super chargers
Geary L. Sarno Saw your car at SAAC 37. Alot of work done to get that car running well. I know you wanted to keep orginial as possible. I have had too much heat under the hood, because I also have run a Paxton but a Novi 2000 . ERA built me a Paxton hood also, but found at 120 mph the lift on the car is not good. It's more for show than function. Nice thing about the old paxtons are ball bearing drive inside case and not gear drive and self contained. Down side is slipping under boost and the blower surging you are talking about. A small hose from bonnet to bonnet will stop alot of this. I know it's not OEM but will work to balance out the system At a show swap back to orginial look.
The other thing was getting cooler air to the blowers and the screens on the back of the inlets. There is very limited space and was trying a 90 degree inlet but was choking off air into the impellor of the blower. Nice car again. Rick L. There are tools out there for removing wing nuts on wheels without hammers now. Still have to wire tie spinners or install clips to retain spinners on wheels. |
Just.... wow!
That is some serious badass there. |
Oakfield765,
BEAUTIFUL!!! Don't be a stranger! Many of us want to hear all about it **) |
Say it ain't so! I guess 300 miles was enough.
Shelby Keith Craft | eBay With an ad title like that, it's easy to see how it's been relatively unnoticed so far. Thanks for the heads up, RedBarchetta. |
Build it, to sell it...
|
Realistically, what should this car sell for used?

I saw this one a couple days ago and I thought what a less than desirable ad for a $200,000 Cobra. |
RodKnock,
I agree. For an over the top Cobra, this ad is pretty bland. Lacks details. fordracing65, Build to sell? This thing? No way. I think the owner just took a steroid version of the "I'm gonna love a high powered Cobra. I'm goin feet first!" pill. sea2jet, Time will tell, I suppose. Does this look like another 'tinman' or 'rsimoes'? |

I guess you'll have to take them at their word ;)

Replacement cost, not including extras from Kirkham, would be around $185,000.00.
100,000 base 15,000 satin finish 10,000 hood. (?) 50,000 engine 2,000 drive train 8,000 build plus misc. costs, would probably come close to $200,000 . Maurice |
No question this was a high dollar build. Included in some of those 'misc costs' were the Paxtons and Kirkham bracket.
It's just that putting this much money in, and expecting to get it out, especially on something wild and custom, is kinda  BTW, post #41 from dcdoug on 9/15/12 says it had 200 miles. So 100 miles in 34 months. I hope the owner is OK :( |

Not the first time a 300 mile Cobra went for sale.
Having a 750+HP makes a seasoned Cobra driver 'Start Over'. If it was his first Cobra, it's more like 'Game Over'. BTW, some chores are rewarding. If you want a pleasure cruise, then the choices are limitless. |
