David,
You are fortunate to have the family close to you, and glad you are feeling better. I have met your Dad and if any indication you'll be around for a long time! God Bless and take it easy for a while. This getting older stuff certainly gets annoying!;) |
Situations and circumstances such as this bring things that are truely important into focus immediately. It is wonderful that you are OK. Family First, but you know that.........

Glad to hear you are on the mend, and that you are surrounded by your family. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Inexplicable things tend to happen for a reason. I guess it's the world's way of trying to tell us something - What does your inner voice tell you about why this may have happened? Best wishes David and thank you for all that you do! |
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

David,
Wish you a speedy recovery! Take the time to enjoy the truly important things in life … family & friends, and do the things that are important to you. When you are up for it, take your Kirkham out for a drive … :) :) |
David, congratulations on your survival. A big part of it was your willingness to realize something serious was wrong and then taking prompt action. 8 1/2 years ago, while warming up to play racquetball, I thought I'd pulled a muscle. After the dizziness, cold sweats, and neck/chest pain set in, I realized I had something else going on. Being much less intelligent than you, I drove home, rather than getting right to the hospital. I called my wife, as I was driving home and she called the EMS, who arrived three minutes, after I did. They got me to the near by Heart Hospital, where my life was saved by their quickly doing a roto-rooter and a stent. I'd suffered the "Wiidow Maker" (100% sudden blockage of my left anterior decending artery) that 3% of us survive. "The Man, or Woman" was certainly watching over me and man do I have a different outlook on life now! Best of luck to you and be well.
BTW Quote: "My most beautiful wife, Alisa Kirkham, stayed by me the entire time--even staying in my bed (which the nurses thought was cute)." Are you saying that your less beautiful wives did't stay with you? How many do you have? |
David,
You are WAY to young for a heart attack. Time to step back and relax. How about taking that lovely wife of yours to Hawaii for 2 weeks. Let her nurse you back to health on the beach. FIA Mike |

David, Glad to hear you are okay. Physical and mental recovery is key. Mike makes a very good point. I had a weird scare years ago at a young age, and the the doctors orders were to listen to my body - to not let the mind, body, or soul get too sideways with work stress or other things in life. Take Care. |
Get well soon, Dave
|
Glad to hear you wasted no time getting to the ER. Do what they tell you to
do for PT recovery and you will be fine. My son's wife had 2 heart attacks a couple of weeks after she had their 3rd child. They missed diagnosed the first one but she had the second one just before they discharged her. She got 2 stents and had 50% blockage somewhere else. Once the med dose was figured out she did fine and 6 weeks later the 50% blockage was gone. She is now doing great. She has always been careful about diet and was only 38. I mention all this to show it can happen to anyone, the key is quick attention to it. David, you nailed that. I am hoping the Good Lord plans on keeping you around for a long time! |
David -
Get well soon! |
Thankfully you thought to share your symptoms with your brother n law. We are all thankful you will be back to 100% soon. Get some rest!
