Default Iron Man Movie Kirkham Build Thread without posts

I thought it would be nice to have a build thread without posts to make the build easier to view.

May of 2010 at the Mecum auction in Indianapolis where i purchased the uncrushed Kirkham built for the movie Iron Man.

-Transferring the car from the reliable carriers truck onto my trailer.

-August 2010
Beginning the wiring harness installation.

October 2010 Continued.

New headlamp assemblies.

Fresh new wiring-done correctly i might add.

Hood prop

Trunk prop rod. I bought this from finishline and when it arrived i realized that I did not need the brackets attached to the ends. I simply drilled the rivets out, removed the end brackets, and then attached directly to the mounting locations on the car.

MSD ignition box.

New Kirkham Suspension

-Cleaned up the frame and panels-no more blue overspray

How fitting that your 527 post was the completion of this thread, matching the beast under the hood

Simply beautiful

To be applauded - Well freaking done!!!

Excellent repost, but in some ways fails to capture the effort you actually put in.

You also forgot the picture of your wife beating your a$$ down the driveway when the AMEX bill arrived.

Thumbs up

I quietly watched the restoration, the end result truly is a work of art.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Yes, i have the paint codes from when the hood was repaired. A few people have asked for them, but I keep forgetting to write down the numbers off the cans when i am in the garage. Ill do my best to remember to post the paint codes tonight.

Paint Codes: This is what the paint store matched for repairing the hood and scoop. Cinema vehicles did not have the codes in their records anymore as their old computer crashed that contained all of the data on the cars.

White- Galaxy White, Code 110, General Motors 2004-2009, 741403K

Blue- Spectramaster Blue, BM174 and then the can also says BM174K

This was 6 years ago, but thank you. I hope the new owner is having fun in it. I let it go for way too cheap!
