London Cobra Show

I was looking at who's coming to the London Cobra Show this year, and it looks pretty light. I am tentatively planning on attending this year, but so far there are only 46 cars coming. Does it fill up quickly at the last minute? In past years when I've come, it seems like I had to reserve a room early to get one at all. Thoughts?

My wife and I will be going for the first time. We don't know what to expect!

As we get closer to the event, people start signing up and, the rooms get sold out rather quickly. If you have never been to the LCS, you have to experience it at least once. No matter how many cars, the days are unforgettable. As we say in our club, "It really is all about the people anyway."

The ride into the town of London, Ohio, is truly special. The Strawberry Festival that shares the town that day makes the day rather special. Don't miss it. The Kentucky Cobra Club has been attending for 10 years straight. This will be our 11th year and we are looking forward to sharing memories at the LCS for years to come.

Plus get a chance to win the Raffle car.

This will be our first time to attend. It looks like some great cruising. I wish it was a little closer, but that won't stop us. Looking forward to crossing this off the bucket list.

CHRIS POTTER 03-15-2014 07:40 AM

Thanks, Juan. I met you the last time I was there. It was 2006. I'm overdue to attend another one. I will look you up when I get there!

I just booked 15 rooms @ the Fairfield Inn on Friday for the Gateway Cobra Club (St. Louis, MO) and the Hoosier Cobra Club (Indiana). We'll be registering soon, still trying to finalize our counts /attendance.

Btw, does anyone have attendance numbers (cars) for the last few years?
I was there last year and it looked like a pretty good participation.

We are signed up and will be first time. Can anyone tell me if some participants trailer their Cobra? Assume there is enough parking room at the Holiday Inn if so. Just debating what to do. Although only two and a half hour drive, just concerned about weather issues and already have a bad back. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Chilibit 03-29-2014 09:35 AM

Quite a few people trailer in. Everyone always finds a place to put their rig. Earlier arrivals have an easier time of it of course.

Dwight 03-29-2014 06:36 PM

we bring three trailers every year
no problem parking them

I can probably only get an open trailer. Is it better to use my Cobra cover (secured of course) or without the cover? I only ask because I have heard covers can whip in the wind no matter how tied down, and damage the paint? You can tell this trailering stuff is all new to me. Thanks for any advice you can offer. Much appreciated.

Seagull81 04-07-2014 04:20 PM

CarGuy427, do not put a car cover on your car with an open trailer. It will mess up your paint. Just clean the car when you get there.

kit1021 04-07-2014 04:57 PM

The London Cobra Show has 78 registrations as of today. As we get closer to the event more will sign up. Yes, make your hotel reservations!!

Steve, thanks much for the advice. Much appreciated.

I think I have missed one or two - work related issues would not let me have the time.

I usually hang out with friends and socialize. If you new or first time, there are plenty of activities.

This year is contingent on the car.
