LCS '06 financials are in!
Well we finally have a decent handle on finances from the London Cobra Show for 2006 and here they are! These are in round numbers since to the penny will not be know until we have to do the financial statement and income taxes.
Income including DVD and decal sales, registrations, raffle ticket sales, motorcycle donations and the auction
- $92,000.00
Expenses including the raffle car build, advertising, site expenses for autocross, equipment expenses, video production (should be out soon!), shirts for staff, A/V setup, tent, etc, etc, etc
- $25,000.00
Of the net of about $67,000.00, here is what we did with the money:
- $15,000 went to the purchase of the motorcycle for the London Police Department
- $30,000 is going to Cystic Fibrosis
- $1,000 is going to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department’s D.A.R.E program
- $200 is going to St. James Lutheran church
This leaves about $20,800 to pay some lingering bills that we know are coming ($2,000 ish) and the remainder is ‘seed’ money for 2007 expenses that we have to pay early on.
In addition, CF received the following donations as a result of LCS in 2006
- $1,800 from the Cocktail party hosted by our very own Justin Leedy!
- $2,850 in rides given at the show
- $600 donation from the proceeds of t-shirt sales
Bringing CF’s total from this year to $35, 250!
All in all, a great year! Thanks to each and every one of you for supporting CF, LCS and London!

Thanks guys! We are trying, and getting close, to getting a finished car here before years end so we can advertise nationally and increase the audience size for ticket sales. Obviously in hopes of helping out CF and charities much more so next year. I have my fingers crossed!

Rick, thanks for posting the info. I'm sure people have no idea how much effort and cost it takes to make this happen! Kudos to everyone that made this show a great success!
Looking forward to next year, and the next raffle car too :-) Ok, Ok, I'll wait until the car is announced and tickets are for sale to start my shameless plugs. LOL BTW - when will that be? I'm feeling withdrawl on not getting mail from Frank every week :-(

Thank you! We finally had the organizers party over the weekend at Jays house. I had kept that bottle you gave me un-opened and waiting until we where all together to enjoy. It is good stuff! I think I will enjoy a little more this evening
The video is going to be great!!!!
About a hour long, all professionally shot and edited by a guy that has done many auto events. Plus, at least most likely, two more discs, one of raw footage from Mid-Ohio and one slide show type disc of every shot we can get. Hopefully, they will be ready for shipping in the next month or so.

Next Year
" $2,850 in rides given at the show "
that would be 285 burnout down main street!!!!!!!!! They had Cobras back up a block and a half all day. I knew that we should beat last years 210 rides. That is alsome!
Rdorman, what if the Police Dept used their radar guns and give anyone who want a " ticket" for speeding down Main Street. The find could be $5 and it could go to the Police Dept motorcycle maintain fund??? A T-Shirt would be nice.
I was speeding ( 100 MPH plus ) down the Main Street of London, Ohio and all I got was this T-Shirt June 2007 LCS
Picture of a Cobra doing a burn out, street sign, trees, old two story house, Police----- you get the ideal ----
What are the date for 2007???? I want to reserve my rooms now! I have been to the last six and this was the best. The other Flings and Shows were a hard act to follow. Thanks to all the people who make this event possible.

Dwight, I think you hit on something. Imagine a t-shirt that shows a guy in a Cobra getting busted in front of the London Court House by a LPD officer (perhaps on the LPD bike we all gave them) with a caption something like "I got busted doing 100 MPH for charity and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" type of thing. The city could sell them for souviners to raise money for whatever they need.
I know I would want one!!!

Great Job!!! This is an event I want to participate in next year, a long haul from Nevada but I think the effort that you folks put into this would make the trip worthwhile, any info you might have with regard where to stay etc., would be helpful.

THIELENG --I'm sure we will be using the same Motel's as this year -- At least I hope so, I already have my reservations. Check the 2006 web site and you will find a listing of all of the motels.
Rick thank's for the financial updates -- I know it's hard work to put them together and it is appreciated. Need I say more.
