LCS Registration Changes for 2008

Hi Guys,

As Treasurer for the Ohio Cobra Club I wanted to make sure everyone out there was aware of the changes to Registration for LCS this year. This year online registration price will be $100.00 per car until Midnight March 31,2008 then the rate goes up to $125.00. It will stay at $125.00 per car until Midnight June 13,2008 when online registration will close. Registration in person at the show will be $150.00 per car. There will be no refunds after May 31,2008. In the past there have been cars participating that did not register. This year we will try to prevent that from happening. I just didn't want any surprises, so I thought I should post the changes here, not just on our registration site. Looking forward to seeing everyone in June. Get registered at London Cobra Show - The Ohio Cobra Club and buy some raffle tickets while your online. Someone will win the Superformance Cobra for $20. You won't find a better deal anywhere.

See you in June,
Brian Freer

Yup Brian , No Wedding Crashers this year...;)......all cars officially registered and will get a special window sticker, and any car without it will not be allowed to participate in any LCS events. This is a must from our Insurance carrier.

Also new this year will be wrist bands to identify paid registrants and their paid guests. Seems ,unfortunately, we fed and entertained quite a few locals last year. .......%/

For anyone who shows up Spur of the moment and wants to join us, we can register them on the spot

This should be obvious to any one reading this thread. Otherwise, I will clarify:

PP x R - E < 0 and lets not forget PP - P < 0 and the ever hottly debated issue last year C + 40 + DC < LC

Clear?;)

Godzila 02-27-2008 06:36 AM

Don't forget registration goes uo March 31st, no freebies this year, no last minute jump ins, you must be registered to participate, your car must be stickered and you and your guests must have a wrist band on to get in to all activities,
This is the place to be in June, Be here or be nowhere
8-)

Question:
Not all of us can get away to attend the entire length of all the "Events".
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend last year.
In the previous years I was able to attend the event in London only. I try to arrive in time to leave with every one from the Speedway to enter the town. I stay there, buy raffle tickets, buy shirts, get my lunch in the church basement, enjoy hanging with freinds, then leave town with everyone else and head back north to home. Works out great for me and my wife and I still get to go out to dinner Saturday night.
I personally would never expect to "Crash" the evening festivities without paying for it.
One year when DV was still running it I offered to pay half just to get the nameplate and felt I contributed to the cause. Turns out, I showed up Saturday morning and no registration pack and no name tag. No big deal.

So, are you really saying that I need to register, pay the $100 and show up at 8:30 at Speedway, then at 3:00 leave and go home.

I was just wondering How many others bring their Cobras to the Saturday event in London "only" and go home afterwards!

Guess, I stay home and don't make that 300 mile round trip!

No one expects you to pay $100 at speedway.... it will be $150.

I guess that narrows it down ! LOL

IT IS A CHARITY EVENT AFTER ALL , FIRST AND FORMOST.

Kinda like the year I had to cancel at the last minute due to a family death - no refunds .

Money goes to a good charitble cause .

Looking forward to LCS this year already - especially after a long cold winter in Motown . Bill

Well last year there were 35 -40 cars who did just that!
As stated this is a fun Charity event to raise funds for CF to help kids live longer lives,

The Saturday Parade and London trip are a big part of it, and while you think it costs us nothing, know that the OCC /LCS gang work thousands of unpaid hours in total all year long to put on this great event, and with one thing in mind, have a great time with our cars and raise funds for CFF while doing so.
Additionally there are insurance requirements for the event.

The 35-40 cars who crashed last year and some even attended the Friday and Saturday events without registering and paying is a big slap in the face to all who work so hard and the hundreds who support the event and pay for the activities and expenses.

We'd certainly like to see you there, for a part, or all of the event, and you might just find that all the activities scheduled from Thursday Thru Sunday are well worth the donation.

A big thanks to all who support our goals!
Best

Godzila 03-26-2008 07:15 AM

Yeah Dan you make a good point, those that wait will pay more, and that's more money in the coffers for CFF.
But obviuosly the OCC has a lot of logistics to work out depending on how many people and cars show up, there's the tent size, The caterer selection and capacity, the coordination with the County and City as to the parade length and routes, parking in downtown, parking lots at various venues, lots of details that are number sensitive, and that's why we ask folks to kindly register now so that we can get aan early count, and assure that everything goes smoothly, and everyone enjoys this great event

Only 5 Days left, then the price goes up go to http://www.londoncobrashow.com and get signed up

Kumpie

PS I really like the hard hat, do you mind if I ask where you got that?

trularin 03-26-2008 08:23 AM

I just read through some the posts and WAS SHOCKED to find people crashed the dinner.

How do we know??? I mean, I think just about everyone had a orange sticker for dinner and many late arrivals opted to the dinner.

Just wondering what happened.

:D :D

Godzila 03-26-2008 09:01 AM
