Tony;

My son is coming in for the weekend and is looking forward to the lime rock run. We'll plan to meet you at the diner as I did a couple of years ago.
Look forward to it!

I'm in. I'll meet you at the Putnam Diner as well. Last time I just missed you guys, was going the other way. Turned around and had to play catchup the rest of the trip, you guys are fast.

Is this trip open to anyone, or only members of the Cobra Club? My father built a 1966 427 AC Cobra replica and I just found this site. We were thinking about going.

Well now you're a Club Cobra member, so it doesn't matter now, does it? :p

Of course all enthusiasts are welcome! We look forward to meeting you and your dad.

Sounds great. Out of curiosity, how many people are estimated to attend this Lime Rock run?

JWheaton 08-21-2007 09:29 AM

I don't know of an exact number, but if the weather is good the their are usually a lot of Cobras and Mustangs that come out for the day.

It is the vintage weekend at Lime Rock so there are always plenty of people and cars in attendence.

That depends !!! The weather is a big factor.., also some of the guy's plan there family events for the holiday weekend and each year is different..... We have had between 7 and 15 cobra's in past years, with a few of the guy's meeting us at the Diner. You just never know how many will show up until the morning of the run.

Alright, my dad isn't sure if he wants to take the cobra to Lime Rock because its never been on that long of a trip. Theres no spare tires, something could break, you know the deal. Anyway, even if we don't wind up taking the cobra, I think we will still head to Lime Rock for the show.

docbdh 08-25-2007 08:02 AM

how do you join the long island cobras?

"Long Island Cobras" are a group of local owners that participate in events posted here on Club Cobra. There is no joining ...just participating.

Tony Aprile 08-28-2007 01:04 PM

Just a reminder to all that plan on participating on the Run to Lime Rock this coming Sunday... fuel up the night before and remember those E-Z passes....

Power Surge 08-28-2007 04:16 PM

Can someone post directions to the diner from the Port Jeff area? I know it's near the Coliseum, I don't get out much :LOL: .
