Did you get the Swine Flu shot in 1976?
I did, I was at Lowery AFB in Denver going to tech school. Nearly everybody was sick the day after, I was puking calling role, many of the guys didn't make it to class for a couple of days.
But there may be a bright side, it appears we may be immune to the newest strain and can ignore the fear mongering going on by our government...

The media has everyone terrified of the Swine Flu. My boy got it a couple weeks ago & when the Doctor told him he had the H1N1 virus he burst out in tears. It went through our family & it was just a flu like any other flu. It is currently going through the school here & students are down for a week to about a week & a half. It's just a flu. Flu kills thousands of people every year. Deaths are rare (compared to the number of people who get the flu) but due occur. This Flu is not any worse then any other Flu.

Well the Govt. fear mongering as Scott put it has worked here. They haven't gotten any vaccine yet and the people are keeping their kids out of school in bunches. I don't know what the schools are going to do about those that are missing classes. Just ignore it I guess since to make them do any make up work would be an infringement on their rights. A friend of mine who is a teacher said that all of her classes had several kids not coming.

This is being posted with my aluminum foil hat firmly in place.
Well think about it. We have, according to the Gov't, a BIG BAD SCARY DEADLY FLU just waiting to infect everyone out there.
In rides the O-man with his vaccine and saves the day and the USofA from this deadly threat! He then gets even MORE good press for something he didn't really do.
Personally I think there's some sort of mind-control drug mixed in with the vaccine and that's why they want everyone to get "innoculated."
Aluminum foil hat OFF.

Well the three people (wife and 2 children) who got flu shots (wasn't the Swine Flu shot) got the flu. Seems yours truly who doesn't get the shots, doesn't get sick (Knocking on wood!). Go figure.

I am skeptical about this H1N1 flu. We heard the same story last spring and it really never developed and now they are referring to the second wave of H1N1. Maybe there really is something to the hype but the media has played this to the point where many people just don't buy it.
I was talking to a co-worker and she told me that 43% of the kids in her daughter's school are not showing up for class because one or two kids have come down with flu like symtoms.
By the way, companies cannot make hand sanitizer fast enough. Alcohol sales are great.

Wayne,
The schools here have lost several million dollars so far because of people keeping their kids home. There has been one or two cases of it around here but none of them were in any danger of dying. Just very sick for a few days.
I haven't had a flu shot of any kind for the past 10 years and haven't had any flu since I quit taking them. Every year that I got one I immediately after that had the flu. Hope my luck will hold, but I wouldn't bet on it.
