Online Poll - "Fox vs White House"
Clink on link and vote in the NPR Poll.
Fox was trailing but has taken a commanding lead.:) GO FOX and thank you for being the only real "NEWS" agency to get the job done and get the truth out! http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/..._news_war.html |
...and it's NPR taking the poll.
BTW, one great thing about you posting links is that when the popup for the video or the story comes up, it's right next to your avatar. Tuff to watch or read the link at times. |
The true NPR types vote neither - 2% of vote

This is the truth about your fox noise channel

First off, your link is broken. Second, IF MMTV is where you get your news, well, that explains a LOT.
In fact if you really want to know the truth, call this number: 401-285-0701 Mike |
Why did you tell him?
;) |
I watch all the cable TV stations news, plus the main stream channels and read everything I can find regarding current situations and views.
It's great that a least a couple of news agencies seem to report the truth. It's strange to me that so many folks are just happy to follow and accept whatever our government puts out there. Questioning all information is a good thing. I realize that most people want to be happy, fair and giving, but infortunately the world is and has always been a dangerous place. People want to take your life away for one reason or another..so you got to be willing to stand up for what is right and be ready to fight for it. It appears that too many Americans want to take the easy way out and bury their heads in the sand...sort of like the libs. in Washington. |

[url] you put Media Matters up as a valid source of information? That explains everything... |

Here is the correct link.
http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200910290044 It's a Jon Stewart commentary on what exactly is newsy about Fox. He does manage to make a couple of valid points, especially about the definition of news vs editorial content as described by Fox. There are a lot of folks on both sides who just don't get the distinction. And Bill, Media Matters is almost as bad a WND. And stay away from "What really happened" as well - they are even worse than WND. Steve |
IF the rest of the media would question the Government with a jaundiced eye, AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO, instead of being the cheerleader squad, Fox would be much more middle of the road. Fox doesn't have to lean very far right to look unfair and unbalanced when the rest of the media leans so far left the're laying down.
The media is supposed to be the early warning system against irresponsible Government. |

Really, Someone should call this number. 401-285-0701

Fox was the cheerleader squad during the last administration, and probably will be for the next one. The problems is less the newscasters than the public who only want to listen to certain viewpoints. There is a certain demographic that pays attention to Fox and another that pays attention to other sources. Both groups don't want honest reporting - they want things spun to back up their view of the world. The reporters are just giving their customers what they want. Steve |

And Fox did not cheer Bush's spending during the last administration. They lambasted Bush just as hard as they now do Obama in re: spending. The difference is Obama's inexperience, reckless spending, waffling, and already failed policies, lends Fox much more material to be concerned about.. Once again, ALL the media is SUPPOSED to question all Government actions. If Fox is overboard, its because they are carrying the load for all the 4th estate. |
Dan,
I wish Fox had the balls to correct Bush and say that the weapons inspectors actually were in Iraq. And while they did not cheer Bush spending they certainly did not give it the attention that Obama is getting, despite Bush being more financially reckless than Clinton. There was a lot of media questioning the Bush administration and they were labeled unpatriotic. I agree with your comment - they are supposed to question government - they just don't because it does not sell. Hell, the majority of the folks on this forum a few years ago were calling some of us unpatriotic for questioning the Bush administration. Personally, I think that is pretty pathetic - I think it is our right and our duty to question our leaders. Subscribing to groupthink (of either side) is part of why we are in the mess we are in now. Thanks, I don't use media matters as source for truth in media, it was the only one I could get that clip from the Daily Show, I can't access comedy central from a government computer, and I have dial up at home, so it takes way too long. I agree with others on here, that the media should be looking into government more closely, or for that matter out of control corporations, but it will never happen, we no longer have any journalist in the media, it’s all infotainment. Some though, such as Fox are solely owned subsidiaries of the republican party, Yes MSNBC is political, but they don't lie about it, there motto is the place for politics, they don't try to deceive anyone as to what they are about, fox new on the other hand is a total fraud! fair and balanced my arse... |
Quote:
Kindly cite ANY proof that Fox is "solely owned subsidiaries of the republican party" or any PROOF that Fox is in ANY way actually CONNECTED to the Republican Party. You cannot because your statement is 100% wrong! B!tch all you wish about them being too far right for your liberal beliefs, that's OK. But lying about them being part and parcel of the Republican Party is flat wrong! MSNBC is COMPLETELY in the pocket of liberal insanity, but no one is intentionally lying and claiming they are owned by the Democratic Party. Lets keep it intelligent, shall we? |
Quote:
get off your high horse and pay attention! And yes of course MSNBC has a liberal slant, they never have denied it, at least they are honest about it. They also put down the POTUS and other Democrats that don’t do what they were elected to do, when was the last time Fox bashed a Republican? Oh they did, the one from New York that was forced out because she was to moderate, when she backed the democrat, they were all over her. |
