Ernie's Ready For Oregon

Well Ernie just about has his place in Oregon all settled so he can start moving up there soon. I think living in that little trailer has kind of made him feel cooped up. Yesterday was a great day here and he was out riding around in the Miata with the top down. Anyone wanting to help with the move just send me money and I will see that he gets it.

However, the question needs to asked...is Oregon ready for Oinie?

I am reminded of Into the Wild when I think of him in the trailer.

He will fit right in. Oregon is a Liberal haven, only topped by Washington state.

Welcome home Ernie.:)

And the Fishing's not bad either!

Hey don't laugh at Ernie as he is really wanting out of that small trailer. When he is on his laptop there he has to put it on the backside of the sink and then stand and lean over the sink to type while trying to keep from losing the wireless signal. He is all ready to go as soon as they finish a couple of things and already has the trailer sold.

We are having another really great day and he may be out in the Miata with the top down running around in the mountains.

You can't believe how BUSY I am right now, faxing, scanning, copying, digital signatures, cashier checks, wire transfers, WHEW, like a stump full of ants!!!

...and yet, I still find time to post on those controversial conservative threads, gives me a good laugh in between the fires raging all around me. :)

Enjoy yourself Ernie. One of these days everything will stop spinning.

Congrats on your new place (once you get it of course).

Ron61 11-26-2009 07:07 AM

Terry,

All of the faxing, scanning, is in preparation for the Oregon Chapter of Ernie's World that he is planning. Actually considering all of the moving around and having to keep track of everything, he is doing quite well and has hopes of closing the deal on his place very soon. I do believe he is getting trailer phobia.

By the way, I just happen to have an ERA 427 side oiler in my garage that I might be interested in selling if the price was right. :JEKYLHYDE :3DSMILE:

I'll bet Ernie would be a little bit upset about that though.

I missed where he decided to settle, do I need to think about warning the neighbors?

Scott,

Ernie is moving to Medford. Maybe just warn the Southern half of the state.

Ron

Scott S 11-26-2009 10:27 AM

Medford? Ashland would embrace him as a soulmate...

Excaliber 11-26-2009 11:50 AM

Hey even I have my limits on the liberal thing. Ashland is a bit to much "over the top" for me in that regard. :)

Ron61 11-27-2009 07:51 AM

;)

Well today, Friday, is the day for Ernie if all goes well. He has his truck loaded and stayed at the Redding Holiday Inn last night and his plans are to get a trailer for the Miata and head to Medford some time today if all goes well. So Scott you will soon have another new addition to your state.

Ron :)

Latest picture of Ernie & his Cobra. He sort of stretched his arms and squashed himself down lifting it onto the ramps before I had told him one end of them lowers and you just drive onto it. And his Cobra is a much darker red than it shows in the picture due to the lights inn the garage.

Not quite a felony but it is illegal to pump your own gas. The really stiff violations start when ask to have the tank topped off.

Yet another night at Holiday Inn for me, getting ready for that free breakfast.
:)
Pumping gas, something I've worried about. I sure don't feel comfortable with someone filling up my Cobra! I guess there's not much you can do about it eh?

Bobcat 11-28-2009 08:04 AM

A few years ago when I was in Eugene for business , my rental car needed gas ... and being from SC , I just pulled up to the pump and started filling up . I thought the "gas guy " was going to have a heart attack !! We talked while he was filling up the car and he said it was a law that was passed some years ago to give people work .

Ernie,

Carry a rag with you and make them use it over the nozzle until they have it over the open gas cap. Then when they start to remove it, make them put the rag back over it so no gas will drip onto the paint. It would also help if you can find a gas station there with some car guy working at it as he would be more careful when putting gas in.

Even more protection would be what another person did. He got some gas proof material and cut a hole in it that would go around his gas filler cap and neck. When he put that on it covered the fender and the area around that gas cap. Kind of over kill if you have a gas station person that will just use the rag over the nozzle. I used to do that when I was pumping my own gas as these darn California pumps have all that rubber crap to protect the environment and it is impossible to use the ones around here without them dripping gas.

Ron
