I use to work in the gas industy and would visit restuarants with our service techs. and observe as they worked on the ranges and other gas equipment. I also watched many of the servers do strange things, like eat food off plates just prior to them taking it to the table (fries), drop food and put it back on the plate and nuerous health code violations that could easily cause customers to get sick.

One actual experience is when a waitress brought my chicken fried steak to our table. I cut into the steak with my knife and took a bite, of course after I put plenty of salt & pepper all over the mash potatos. I noticed that my "chicken fried steak" was actually a "pork chop" and questoned the waitress.
The waitress said "Opps, sorry about that, it is a pork chop and it belongs to that old man dinner sitting over there".

I said, "It's OK I've already started eating it and the pork chop will be fine".

She said, " No way honey"'.

She grabbed the plate and promptly delivered it to the customer sitting across the room.
she then brought me my chicken fried steak dinner.
True story. Noisy Water Cafe in Three Rivers California.

Wow,

I had read the Visine thing recently in another restaurant top 10 or 20 list.
Hmmm....

One of them is that he/she smoke dope/abuse drugs on a regular basis.

There also is alot of drug abuse in the resturant business, employees that is.

Wow, yes that is true. I found that out one night when some chick with two flat tires rolled into my driveway at about 2:00 AM. I had passed her about 2 miles before getting home. She followed me, rolled in and in a light rain opened her door. Get this, she says, what are we gonna do now! Starts laughing and rolls out of her car and falls on the ground. I was nice enough to get her home and not call the law. Both right tires were flat and she had hit something with the front end.

The next day her boyfriend tells me she sells products to restaurants, and she has a habit of hanging out with the workers after hours getting stoned drunk. Since then if I am ever out, I notice cars parked at late hours in restaurant lots.
