Post Rolex 24 Hour Race

Won't be long now until the Rolex 24 hour race comes on. Wish I could go see it instead of just watching it on TV.

Ron

Having worked safety at the race for 15 years it is a long, long day but worthwhile. Have also worked the 12 hour at Sebring from the first day of practice all thru to the end of the race.
Some years at the 24 around 4AM Daytona is the coldest place in the universe! I sometimes froze in a snowmobile suit that was plenty warm enough to be drinking beer while ice fishing at 0 degrees, but not warm enough to keep the chill off at Daytona when the temp was supposed to be 44 degrees! (Do you suppose it was the lack of beer while working safety?)

Go if you can, but forget its in Florida, take warm clothes.

Dan,

Sounds kind of like Death Valley. All most people know about is its daytime heat. But it gets very cold there at night.
