Did you say she comes with five personalities? :D

What I find ridiculous is how long this guy has been working on this project. RealDoll has done the "body" for ten years and a simple sensors/audio response system is about a weekend project for a tinkerer. Big whoop.

Ralphy 01-11-2010 10:14 PM

That's what it says. I think I have met her before!

Gunner 01-11-2010 10:23 PM

Never play cards with a man named Doc.
Never eat at a place called Mom's.
And never sleep with anyone crazier than you are...

...even if it's a rubber doll with five personalities.

rustyBob 01-12-2010 08:24 AM

no big deal, mine has 20 personalities and can cook and clean and do laundry.......

After reading this article I have to agree with you. And it has a laptop connected to the back also.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr! There's something awful creepy about these "love dolls". The whole thing smacks of necrophilia - porking one of these things has got to be kinda like shagging a corpse. yuk. %/

Which raises the question... if the laptop freezes do you have to get out and get back in?

I'd agree in general. They are, however, often owned by users who are never going to get near the real thing again in their lives, not even with stacks of money involved.

Wayne Maybury 01-12-2010 12:47 PM

This is just plain weird. Talking about weird, can you imagine the people that would buy and "use" such a thing? Just thinking about it, gives me the creeps.:eek::eek:

Maybe you would have to re-boot the computer. :3DSMILE:

Buzz,

There was an article in the paper here some time ago about some guy using one of those dolls in his car to get to use the reserved lanes on the Bay Bridge. I guess he forgot to roll the window up on her side one day and the wind caused the doll to fly up and over the seat just as he was pulling up to the toll booth.

Ron

There's a difference between the inflatable dolls and the more solidly built "real dolls." The latter are made of silicone on an articulated skeleton and, among other things, weigh 75-100 pounds.

They're also about 100 times more expensive.

I wrote some articles on them back when they were new. It's pretty weird stuff, but then, I suppose there are people out there who would say the same thing about us...

Ron61 01-13-2010 06:08 AM

:)

Darn Gunner,

Now you have me curious about these things. I guess I am going to have to do a search and read about them. I never dreamed they would cost that much. For that price they should clean house and drive the car.

Ron
