Interesting observations Tommy, Silverback on the bi-partisan issue.
OK, it's Bush's war, not the Americans. Hell, that works for me (not that I'm partisan).

Trying earns zero credit. Doing earns credit, you know that!
Conservatives determined to destroy him? RIDICULOUS! Liberals CONTROL both houses. Conservatives have NO power at all. All they can do is point out that he does NOT do ANYTHING that he says he's "going to do!"
He says he wants bipartisanship and then locks out the other party.
He says he wants transparency and then wheels and deals behind closed and locked doors.
He says he wants "Ethics" and hires a string of tax evaders and councils with convicted felons..
He says our health CARE is bad and its not.
He says the Stimulus will keep the unemployment below 8% and it doesn't.
He says the Stimulus will be spent immediately an "Shovel Ready Projects," and its not.
He says he inherited it all from Bush, then outspends Bush and makes things worse.
And much, much more "He says" and it isn't true.
Conservatives POINT THAT OUT and they are the bad guys for pointing out his multiple lies and failures? No he is the bad guy for lying and failing and pushing policies that do not work and the country does not want.

Gunner,
That's the dumbest comparison I've ever heard. All the boy has to do is send the planes, load em up, and bring em home. It's his war now and he's spending more on it. And not fighting it very well at that. Just because he's your boy doesn't mean it's not his war now. Boy, I get a kick out of reading the Three Stooges limp dicked assessment of everything.

...one can only hope those conservatives have no power, Lord help us if they did.
Loading up the troops is not a viable option for this or any other sitting President at the present time.

Ernie,
So you say now.
What Obama is doing now will guarantee that conservatives will make major gains in the next election and liberals will not be trusted again for a long long time. What Obama proclaims, can be undone next term.

Not so Bernie! I predict Obama will easily win a second term. The Dem's will experience some losses in the mid term, as historically that is always the case with the party in power. This will be merely a bump in the road with no lasting impact.
Regardless of "polls" the simple reality is the Republicans are to splintered, lacking leadership, lacking funding and have no clear front runner to offer a significant challenge to Obama. It's a four quarter game, 1st qaurter is now over. Repub's got nothing going, nothing on the horizon. Come half time they better rally big time or they won't even have a prayer in the final inning. I don't see that happening, in fact, I see more splintering and confusion for the party as time goes on.
The Tea Party will only help to dissolve the Repub's even further, so there is no hope in that direction. It looks pretty bleak, frankly. I say that purely as a political observation regardless of where my loyalties may or may not lay with any given party.

Then why didn't your "boy" do just that? It sure wasn't because victory was in the offing at any time in the last two years of his run.
Since your "boys" couldn't clean up the mess they made, I'd say you don't have much right to complain about how the successor administration handles it.

Republicans were not trusted this time after phuking everything up, and they lost because of it.
If the Democrats got us out of Iraq (even whilst diverting troops to Afghanistan) and did the tax refund that Obama was talking about then I suspect thatt he Dems would be in a much better position.
Those things did not happen, and they are phuking up a bunch of other things that only need incremental fixes, so the Dems will start to lose seats, and eventually the White House.
They will be trusted again when the GOP phuks up again. And given the fact that most of them want a return to the previously phuked up status quo it will not take too long.
This is how we recycle crap in America.
Steve

When the GOP screws up again??? First they gotta dig themselves out the hole they already dug before they get a chance to do it "again".
Fact is while Obama ratings may be down for now, the Repub's are hot on his heels for the "biggest looser" category.

You do realize that you are hanging 100% of your hopes on the
"other side" doing nothing right? While that IS entirely possible as both 'sides' are politicians, it only takes one competent individual to emerge and pull the Repubs/Conservatives together. While the Dems are saddled with Barrack Hussein Obummer for the next few years, they cannot throw him under the bus yet. They WILL ASAP, but cannot do it while he's the incumbent.

I think Barrack Hussein Obummer is starting to get a grib on the unity problem.
I heard on NBC that he is appointing The Rev Al Sharpton as the Unification Czar.

Actually I'm not "hanging my hopes" on anything at the present, for or against Obama or the Republicans.
We NEED the two party system to maintain a balance of power. I take no delight in the troubles the Republicans face (well except around here when were trash talking ). It is not good for the country to be one sided. A "third party" would be a disaster in the short run, but maybe, just maybe, if the timing is right, their time may come. Not likely in the next election though, a third party will only serve to take votes away from the Republicans (think Tea Party).
But your right, all it takes is one man to re-energize the party and it could change things overnight. I won't be holding my breath this man (or woman) is coming any time soon, but I could be wrong. Rumor has it Jamo may know the identity of this mystery person? All I know is I was told it was none of my business as to "who".
I've been wracking my brain ever since trying to figure out who it might be...

That's because it's not a white horse, it's Sarah Palin.

Sara has a very compelling life story ..... she has accomplished much, actually very much....there is a lot to admire about her , keeping that kid shows real character (IMHO)....I hope she makes a ton of money...but...it is difficult for me to believe that she will ever hold a public office again... Faux is a good fit and I wish her great success...
