Default Dear Mr. President from Rush Limbaugh

This "letter" highlights most of America's concerns and frustrations with Obama and is delivered in a reasonable tone without drama.
Obama won't understand.

I'm going to guess that Rush isn't holding his breath waiting on a thank you card from BHO.

Talking The unvarnished truth...

...

That Rush is the biggest, most silver tongued, spinmeister ever.

Rush talks about folks that earn over $250k. Come on ....nobody "earns" over $250k; they pick the pockets of the hard-working unwary.

Rush is a propoganda tool for the top 20 percent and runaway Capitalism, plain and simple.

I think a lot of folks buy into it because, nowadays, they really believe there is also free money at casinos. Money that wasn't lost by somebody first. Don't want to threaten taxes on these "future earnings" either, now do we? The attitude is, "Hey, it might be me that gets rich!" Shame for being so ignorant.

This country was built by people that worked hard for their money; not money that worked hard for money. But Rush essentially wants to protect just those that ride the rowboat for free ...without rowing.

Prez gets lemons and tries to make a lemonade business after the previous worst business management in history. Can't have that. McCain would have done the same thing without healthcare. Guess that's why McCain never made it, being a true patriot and all. How unAmerican Rush is.

Rush is simply helping drive the middleclass to bankruptcy. Rush will be out of work, too, when the upper echelon doesn't need the mouthpiece anymore.

Rush story:

Hell Freezes Over

When right-wing talker Rush Limbaugh praised the U.S. health care system as "just dandy" based on his experiences in a Hawaii hospital, chances are he didn't quite know his words were diametrically opposed to his politics.

"The treatment I received here was the best that the world has to offer," he said of services rendered at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu.

Hawaii, however, is the closest thing the United States has to socialized medicine; a point that has not gone unnoticed by the Service Employees International Union.

We're thrilled to hear that Limbaugh appreciates Hawaii's exemplary health care system.

Here's why:
1. Hawaii is a shining example of progressive health care reform. In fact, Hawaii is so forward-thinking that the Senate bill excludes Hawaii from some of its provisions, because Hawaii's requirements on employers go farther than the federal legislation.

Since 1974, Hawaii has required all employers to provide quality health care benefits to any employee who works 20 hours a week or more. Because of Hawaii's increased coverage, reports the New York Times, "hospital and insurance executives in Hawaii say they have been able to innovate efficiencies. For instance, the state's top three medical providers are adopting electronic medical records -- years ahead of most mainland counterparts."

One reporter noted "the medical system in Hawaii is as close to socialized medicine as there is in the United States, and, much of the Democrats reform bill is based in the Hawaii system."

2. Limbaugh stayed at Queen's Medical Center, where nursing staff are represented by the Hawaii Nurses' Association (read: a labor union). The nurses at Queen's are protected by their contract, which adheres to the ANA's safe-staffing principles guaranteeing appropriate staffing levels for any patient care unit.In fact, Hawaii has one of the greatest percentages of organized workers of any state and also had the highest percentage of organized RNs. All private-sector acute care hospital RNs are organized, with just two known exceptions. We're guessing this might have something to do with why Limbaugh found the Hawaii hospital staff's work so "confidence-inspiring."

The group mocks the right-wing host's unknowing double-standard with a headline that reads, "Hell Freezes Over: Rush Limbaugh Loves Union Hospitals and Socialized Medicine"
.
Limbaugh, 58, who has millions of faithful listeners, declined to take questions, saying he did not want to get into a political discussion in a hospital setting, despite his loaded comments about the health care system.[/i]

Rest of the story: Do your homework.

RANT ON
Looks like money can buy happiness if you are a rich corporate power in the health industry. More and more gullible Americans are buying into the premise that ObamaCare just isn't good for us and we should just leave this abominable overpriced system alone.

I recently had occasion to see the amount of the overpriced healthcare benefit I receive from my corporate employer. The figure, good to the last year or so, is $1400 a month. To put it in perspective, my federal withholding, which RUNS THE ENTIRE REST OF THE COUNTRY, is less than that amount. Either the federal government is an incredible bargain, or healthcare is overpriced just a tad.

I wonder if my CEO sits on the insurance company board and their CEO sits on ours? And if they have prefered stock in each other? Freeloaders.

Too bad they don't just give me the cash, which I sweat-earned by the way, instead of standing between me and my doctor. Whose plan was it to put employers and the "benevolent" US Chamber of Commerce in charge of this runaway Capitalist system, anyway? I would much rather have a government guy between me and my doctor. Beside being the incredible bargain I mentioned above, the government guy works for me and he works comparatively cheap and if I don't like him, I can fire him.

Whoever took over, what was once an honest Republican Party, ought to be strung up. Pretty soon we'll be like Mexico. No unions, no middleclass, no socialism, everything in private hands. Somebody elses hands, the top 1 percent.

The gullible masses are their own worst enemy and they are taking me with them.
RANT OFF

I know you guys are going to love this.

Rush just dribbles this crap out because his ratings tanked after putting his foot in his mouth over Haiti.

Reason people voted for Bush:

He's just a guy I'd like to sit down and have a beer with.

Reason people voted for McCain:

Palin is so hot, maybe we'll get us one of them "Basic Instinct" moments while she's addressing us on something.

Reason people voted for Obama:

He's extremely intelligent and maybe he'll be able to get us out of the mess left behind by Bush. And he probably could if he had a nut sack the size of Cheney's or the mouth of Limbaugh!

A bit presumptuous there, newbie.

I was a supporter of GW in the earliest stages of his run for the nomination and supported him throughout both terms. I am grateful for his services to this country.

Watch yourself.

Can't find anything on a rating drop so I'll retract that statement which should be very pleasing to some, however what was stated from the mouth that roared:

In the wake of the Haitian earthquake, Rush Limbaugh has created a tremor of his own.

The ever-controversial radio talk host is taking fire for advising people not to donate to Haitian relief through the fund set up by the White House.

If you do that, said Limbaugh, you’ll probably just end up on an Obama campaign mailing list – and a big chunk of your donation will get siphoned off by government bureaucrats.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs called Limbaugh’s assertions "really stupid"

But the heaviest flak has come from Limbaugh’s other comment that "You already give to Haitian relief – it’s called the income tax."

Sweet. There is a guy with the sensitivity and compassion of a rock yet some worship him like the second coming. Peoples youz need to start thinkin fer yurselves dag blang it.

To think if it wasn't for Unions Leaders and Members like this we would all be working 168 hours a week for 10 cents an hour.

Yes thank god I too am a union man. It's just too bad all the greedy F**k CEO's are sending our union jobs overseas (outsourcing is the sugar coated term) where they can employ people 168 hours a week for 10 cents an hour. That is why back in the early '90's I started avoiding buying items made and China and still go out of my way to do so. I would rather pay 20% more on a product if I know it's made here in the states or Europe... how's bout you?

Yup...too bad unions sucked the blood right out of American industrial might by protecting substandard work performance, assinine wages and benefits and indifference to the country.

Let's not forget...as recently as late 2008 when they refused to make reasonable concessions (delaying increases with no actual cut in pay) or invalidate the provisions requiring continuation of pay after a layoff. This led directly to the failures of GM and Chrysler, and the expanded subindustries, and resulted in millions more being laid off from their jobs. So the rest of us have to pay the UAW via bailouts.

They are a cancer upon this nation.

Let's not forget...as recently as late 2008 when they refused to make reasonable concessions (delaying increases with no actual cut in pay) or invalidate the provisions requiring continuation of bonuses after getting caught. This led directly to the failures of GM and Chrysler, and the expanded subindustries, and resulted in millions more being laid off from their jobs. So the rest of us have to pay Wallstreet via bailouts. All perfectly legal in a atmosphere of runaway Capitalism, because we let it happen.

They are a cancer upon this nation.

Cute, Wes.

...but a mere trickle compared to the effects of union entitlement socialism. Shocking to see a few making millions each...the stuff of glorious soundbites to stir the masses. Nothing like the drag of billions of dollars wasted on union-controlled benefit trusts, over-staffing and dead weight labor rolls.

It's the same reason our government costs so much to operate.

Last week, for the first time, unionized public employees outnumbered the private sector.

Actually, a bit of both...but mostly the latter. Unions have been increasing their public sector hold for the past few decades...much easier for them to force membership and secure dues deductions. I can't think of a better example of waste than the way our government works, can you?
