Oz Cobra, so you're a beer drinker then, fair dinkum, but why piss on somebody else's passion? There are some fine wines in Australia that are expensive by any standards, Bill Blass for one. But then I am not too concerned at the price anyway since generally you get what you pay for. Cheers.:JEKYLHYDE tin-man

Tin-man sorry thought this may be taken as personal dig,but it was a general comment at what is nothing but a ridiculous price for a product.
If Roscoe is so inclined to spend $$$$ on this ..bully to him!!!
Mate far from a beer drinker my friend ...realistic in that I won't pay a ridiculous $$ for something I'll as you put it PISS ....down a hole hours later!!!! ....Yes some great wines down here at a real price that would put many an overpriced vinegar to shame!!!
CHEERS TO YOU!!!:)

OZ, Some idiots will buy a copy of an old car with no heater, roof, airbags, radio, or air conditioning for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We all have our pleasures and choose to spend our money the way we please.

Cheers Roscoe, Life IS good.

OZCOBRA 05-01-2010 10:33 PM

Actually, most buyers obtain them for investment.

The Value of any object can be contentious and is based on ones opinion and perceptions.

Fast car, good lookin women, Two-Buck Chuck and a day in the cobra....extreme value.

Bobcat 05-02-2010 07:44 AM

roscoe your a rum runner then :3DSMILE: glad work is good , I know a guy who makes a good living off cigars . After classic cars , sports memorabilia and maybe old watches I would say collecting spirits to be a fun way of investing , beats the heck out if stocks , in fun and profit .

SDR,
I work for a family owned 3 store chain of high end wine, spirits, beer and gourmet foods. My main hat is Loss Prevention. However, I wear about a dozen more. I'm also the cigar buyer. Our flagship store is 24k square feet!

For an hysterical walk through the world of cheap wine.......

Gee Roscoe, you have a great job there. Now if they would just start a chain of car houses for you to watch over, you would have it made for sure.

Roscoe, you are correct, but then again, life is too short to allow a fine wine to sit on a shelf. I would rather share the pleasure of drinking it with a female companion while enjoying good food. My two cents.:JEKYLHYDE:3DSMILE:

I use to be an altar boy at my hometown Catholic church. Really small church in rural NC (lets keep the jokes down please). Anyways, on my first day of service, Father Lynn asked me to get the sacrements ready (wine & those round bread wafers). I munched on a few of those... tasty (not holy stuff till the priest consecrates them, whereupon they miraculously turn into flesh and blood, ugh!) I then went to find the wine. I looked everywhere, then Father Lynn told me to look in the fridge. Fridge? You don't keep red wine in the fridge! But there it was, way in the back, MD 20/20.

No wonders he was so happy after 3 services!

Mike
