Yup, That's always how it works.... Put something away in a safe place so you don't lose it, then forget where you put it, buy a brand new one, use it so you can't return it, then you will find the one you put in the safe place!

Ok - I have to ask - what do exhaust tips have to do with fitting sidepipes? The only exhaust tips I know are the shiny ones people stick on the ends of their tailpipes for a bit of bling. Is there something else I'm missing?
BTW - you're right; as soon as you don't need them any more, you'll surely find them while frantically searching for something else!

Welllllllllllllllllllllll, right now the side pipes just come to an ABRUPT STRAIGHT end just behind the drivers door and don't extend to the wheel well opening. I need the tips so that I can make sure they end just at the opening as the front of the side pipe is the only area with movement range.
