Speed Channel
Is speed channel indicative to what state the USA economy is really in?
Am I the only one thoroughly bored by the Sunday morning religously played re runs? Sunday morning is the one day I like to sit and watch a bit of TV, BUT enough.Oh for a bit of diversity!

I seldom watch Speed Channel any more. Too many repeats and NASCAR for my taste. But I do enjoy the Australian V8 Supercar and FIA GT1 races that are rerun mostly around mid-day on weekdays. As was suggested, a video recorder would allow you to cherry pick the programs you watch, plus it lets you skip the commercials.

I'm not sure why they haven't renamed SPEED as The NASCAR Channel. I used to watch it religiously, but now there rarely is anything in which I'm interested.
HD Theatre, on the other hand, has a bunch of good shows to offer. Check it out.

I agree. And I'm so sick of NASCAR I could puke.

Agreed...generally sucks, save for the odd LeMans, ALMS and WRC coverage.

Is the Speed Channel would limit thier NASCAR coverage to the race plus a couple of hours per week of discussion that would be OK. But no, they go on, and on, and on, hour after boring hour with stupid shows with NASCAR as part of the name. I have basically stopped watching anything to do with NASCAR primarily due to the over exposure.
