2012 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix @ Schenley Park– Pics
The 30th anniversary of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix has come and gone, and what a fantastic event it is each year. The 10 day-long event is held to raise money to help provide residential care, treatment and support individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Pittsburgh region. This year, cumulative contributions to the area charities over the event’s history will surpass the $3 Million mark – how exciting! The Grand Prix is just the final two days of the event with the remainder of the 10 days being comprised of rallies, black tie galas, circuit racing, car cruises, and street-side car displays. Lots of engaging sights, sounds, and smells for the enthusiast as well as family members. This year, I ventured out with the COBRA on Saturday to display the car alongside few from Fran Kress’ stable. The remainder of my family later showed and we had a very nice day taking in all the sights during the vintage races and international car show under cloudy skies and comfortable temps. Hats off to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix association and all they do to put on a first-class event every year!
