Default Led Zeppelin at Kennedy Center Honors

Hey Guys:
A few weeks ago the Kennedy Center honored Led Zeppelin (and others). The LZ part of the show, wrapped up the evening, and went about 20 minutes. It was quite moving. It concluded with the Wilson sisters (Heart) doing Stairway to Heaven. It was an amazing performance.

Here are 2 youtube links. The first is Heart alone doing Stairway to Heaven. The second is the whole presentation which included Kid Rock and others. If you can commit to the longer link it is well worth the time. If you have ADD then I recommend you just watch the Wilson girls and company knock Stairway to Heaven out of the park. I can't stop watching this performance which I have on my DVD. Maybe I'm the right age but I can't get the song out of my head. Enjoy!

I watched the Heart rendition of Stairway and then the original - no comparison. Yes, the fat Heart has a great voice, but not for that song.

I've heard a live version by Heart of Rock n Roll that was very impressive. hard to find, but worth it.

Jimmy turned 69 friggin years old today! 01/09/13 he's even older than me...a little richer, too.
