Which is why Ol' Shel got away with using 428s in many of the later cars.

I am a little biased, because the first Cobra I got to drive was a late model 289 MKII, nothing like your first love! Also. Shelby, on several occasions said his favorite Cobra were the MKIIs. In fact, when it came time for his last Cobra to be built, it was a CSX8000, with an automatic tranny, (he earned the right to go auto.) The Superformance MKII is close to the same car and much cheaper, I would be just as happy, and a little richer with one of those! Cheers, Dennis
