Default any one interested in the first contemporary 289fia ?

I was thinking about selling my contemporary 289 fia. I've had a while and I'm not really using it much anymore. It was Peter Bayers prototype built by him and Kanasca motorsports.13 " 6 piston calliper brakes on front., all Jaguar suspension, 17" psi real knockoff pin drives, 351 windsor with willy's built holley carb., penske remote shocks with eibach springs. The car is the best handling cobra I've driven on the race track. Any one interested?

It's a beautiful looking car and I'm sure there will be interest.

To spread the word, I'd suggest posting some pics and specification (and of course a price and your location) here: Club Cobra classifieds and on Cobra Country classifieds

I would love to have a CCX 289FIA to go with CCX3117. Now THAT would be a cool Christmas present!!!

yep that's it. I've not really been using it and it's a shame to let it just sit.

Being a predominantly track car, the specs might have changed, but there are some details and pictures here:

It's had the fuel injection system changed out for a holley carb, upgraded brakes for13' rotars 6 piston calipers. Appears the same. I've had the motor gone through and thoroughly reconditioned. car weighs 1980 lbs and is a very good performer. Very well maintained.

What are you looking to get for it?

I'd probably be happy with 40,000. Is that out of line?

Needless to say, I have a lot more than that in it but I've had alot of fun with it. How can you put a price on some of the most fun you can have with your clothes on

Were you the winning bidder on BAT:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-ac-cobra-6/

He actually did not sell it until about a year or so ago.

As for the sale price, that would be a question for the old owner, as it would be in very bad taste to disclose it without his permission.

But then again, if you review his posting history, you may find the answer to your question without anyones assistance.
