Hey Tru

Have you been sleep walking again?

Ron61 01-03-2007 11:21 AM

Well back from Redding and I am good to carry for another two years. And believe it or not I got to park right in front of the place. Just had to walk across the sidewalk and into the building. And I met a friend who is working there mornings and I hadn't seen her in years. She used to work for the phone company and her husband was a deputy. They are both retired now and he does investigative work for the dept. and she works mornings for something to do.

Now I am having a warm bowl of turtle soup and drinking a Diet Pepsi for breakfast.

Ron :p :p

I'm surprised,maybe shouldn't be,that your CCP's are only for 2 years.

In Texas we get them at birth.

It's always a good day when a toddler blows away a stray TURTLE in his play pen.:D

Obviously not a "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE".......turtles in the half-shell!!!lol !!!

wtm442 01-03-2007 06:01 PM

Everyone can go eat frogs!

I went for a nice ride today. If you apologize about the turtles, I might post a video or two I took. Temp got up to 52 ºF, but tomorrow is supposed to be warmer. :p :p :p

Tru
Pele, the Mt Shasta Goddess and the Cobra gods must really like you. India is a nice place to visit (big cities only), but the poverty can bring tears to your eyes.

What the h3ll is a CCP? California Cobra Princess? :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

Ron61 01-04-2007 03:56 AM

Mike,

I have had a CCP for about 20 years. I had no trouble at all getting one. Had to go to a school and qualify as I had been out of the military to long for that to count. They used to just be for 1 year but many years ago they decided it would save money to issue them for two years. At the time I was carrying a lot of money and test equipment at times and the woman deputy that interviewed me just said you need it for Personal Protection. Now all I have to do is attend a safety class at the range some time during the next two years and have that certificate to show them when I go in again. The class just covers new laws, and you have to go shoot 50 rounds in different situations. Also we have had Sheriff's here for the past 25 years that are big on then rights of people to have and carry guns. Just go in and talk to your Sheriff's dept. and they will tell you what you need to do to get one, and they are good for all of California and some other states that they have worked deals with. DO NOT go into Canada with your gun unless you check it at the border.

Ron

:D

Warren,

A CCP is a Concealed Carry Permit for you to wear a gun under your shirt of coat. You can wear one openly on Govt. land, but they prefer that you carry it out of sight so they don't get calls from people about someone walking around with a gun. Darn deer hunters with high powered rifles will call in and report anyone they see wearing a gun.

Ron :)

Tru,
Good to hear your Good News.

Been to Bombay,once.
Flying back to Dubai,U.A.E (United Arab Emirates) from a month vacation in Bangkok,Thailand I had a short layover.
When we were landing I noticed something lining the runway. After we touched down I could make it out. They were cardboard shelters right up to the edge of the tarmac. They were the luckey ones. Most were sleeping in the open. They were living/sleeping close enough that I could easily make out their faces even though it was at night.
Truely tragic.I doubt it is any better now,30 years later.:(

Thanks...I think. I just do not like traveling on a plane.

I was going to rant, but I think I'm just gonna go to bed.

Good night to you all.
