Yes, that was a good video. At least you got the fuller version. All the ones I saw before only gave a short version of the music.
Need to be able to down load the full version. :D |
Funny thing
The Easter bunnt gets arrested for beating up a mother at the mall here. It seems she was asking why they were closing 15 minuets eary so the Easter bunny goes balistic and ponces on the poor mother in front of her kids. Of coarse the head of the costume falls off and the kids think the poor bunny is dead. Especially when the police put him in cuffs and take him away. what a D A! |
:o
Finnaly, some sun today. I have been shoveling mud in my driveway trying to let the water flow on across what is left of it so maybe it will dry out enough for Jerry to come and get rid of this mess and put in the new one soon. Also if the weather forecast is correct, I may actually be able to take the car out for a drive tomorrow or Wednesday. Just hope they are wrong about the hard wind. :o Ron :) |
Good luck Ron. If not, just wash the car while in the rain. :D

I just went for my 5th ride in the last 5 days. I predict that your Kalifornia liquid sunshine will abate for the next 4 days with sunny skies, and temps in the mid 70's. Get out the shovels or get some long planks to free that Cobra from its soggy abode .... :p :p :p :p |
Got to love this whole adventure!!
Now I have to wash the cobra. |
OK, time to watch 24 :JEKYLHYDE

Warren,
So far so good this morning. No rain but it is on 35 degrees. My lawns looked like they had snow on them from ther heavy frost. But as it is just 3:30, I can't see any stars so I don't know if it is overcast or not. If it does warm up to the predicted 64 degrees today, I think I may try to ease the car across that small stream still flowing across my driveway and get out of here for a while. Maybe drive down South of Red Bluff and watch the CHP write tickets. Tru, Hope that you can get yours out soon. Both of mine need to be gone over with the wet paint but until it warms up a little I am not going to spend any time in that garage. Ron %/ |

When do you sleep? After 5 ride days in a row, it looks like drizzle all day .....  Guess I'll have to do a few things I've been putting off, like .. cooking stuffed green peppers haircut food shopping vacuuming paying bills EEEECCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. UGGHHHHHHH :p :p :p BORING Maybe today is a good day for a nap ?!?!?!?!?!?!? |
Stuffed green peppers, great food. When is dinner???
Do you use fresh peppers or is this the stoffers brand stuff? We make them with ground venison and garden tomatoes, very good. Excellent Warren. Ron, I'm with you on that. It was 32 last night and I am back to work. |
Warren,
I guess you used up all of your good driving days for a while. That is to bad and I really feel for you. I just wish this darned wind would stop as I already have a sore throat and don't want to be out in it if I can avoid it. Wehave snow just about 1/2 milefrom me and it blows right across that and is like ice. When is dinner? I haven't had good stuffed green peppers in a long time. As for the haircut, since I have hardly any left I don't have to go often. Did my vacuuming day before yesterday but do need to use the carpet cleaner and clean the carpets good. Big job and I always put it off as long as I can. As for paying bills, that is a daily thing for me so I don't count that as any extra work. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |

Had a great day today. Had 3 meals. Put out the rubbish for collection tomorrow One nap in the AM for 2 hours One nap in the PM for 2 hours :p :p :p :p The only thing I got done today is that I read the mail and newspapers, watched a little TV and played with my new bird. :D :D |
Tru - here is my recipe - they are gooooooooddd!
Stuffed Peppers -
Makes about 7 to 9 stuffed peppers, depending upon size 1 large Spanish onion, chopped 1 large green pepper, chopped 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 pound 93% ground beef 1 Tbsp basil 1 Tbsp oregano 2 teaspoons ground cumin seed 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon pepper 1 can (28 ounces) Italian-style stewed or diced tomatoes with liquid 2 packages of Lipton Spanish Rice (approx 5 cups cooked) Spray large electric skillet with Pam. Add onions and green peppers and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute, but do not burn. Remove to a plate. Crumble beef into skillet; cook over medium high heat until browned. Add tomatoes, veggies and cooked rice (if you want, cut the tomato chucks using stiff spatula). Stir in basil, oregano, cumin seed, thyme and pepper. Stir everything, and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes. If mixture is too wet, add some flour or let it simmer longer. Prepare green peppers for stuffing. Blanch in boiling water for 3 or 4 minutes. Anything over 5 minutes, and they get too soft. Remove peppers from water and immediately immerse in cold water to prevent further cooking. Spoon ingredients into hollowed-out green peppers. Spoon the remaining mix (if there is any left) around outside of peppers. Cover dish and heat at 375 for approximately 45 minutes. Optional - after cooking, add some spaghetti sauce and grated parmesan cheese on top, if you like it that way. Actually, I like it better without the sauce and cheese. |
Waren,
That is a bird. Looks more like an alligator that was cut in half.  What kind of bird is that? I don't think I have ever seen one like it. Well the peppers sounded great. We finally had a day that would have been good for driving and that cold, hard wind blew all day. I am hoping that today will have no wind as we are supposed to have rain coming tomorrow of Friday, which most likely means this afternon. But here at 2:40 when I got up it was the warmest morning in quite a while. The temperature was clear up to 40. So maybe today I can get the car out. Ron :) |
Knowing my luck the site will go down and the thread will get erased before I get chance to print it off.
Thanks Warren. I made venison stew/soup last night ( gravy was more like broth ) but it tasted great. I am cooking chunk meat spaget for dinner tomorrow. I'm not cooking tonight as I am excavating a hill and moving 15 tons of 21A. So, it's pizza! Ron, are you out in the cars???? You know Warren will let you know he was. |
Ron
Its a bird, no its a plane, no its a CROCK-a-DEE able to chew up cats in a single mouthful .... the ability to fly and eat birds in flight ... Jurassic Park 4.27 |
Tru
Just in the middle of cooking 9 stuffed green peppers. They will be done at 7:15 PM if you can make it. This is after I did some food shopping, and went for a 2 hour ride ... temp almost 70 ºF this afternoon. I also bought about 8 lbs of thin end brisket, so corned beef will be the meal of choice over the weekend. Nuttin like homemade boiled dinner :p :p Hope you and Ron also got the chance to go for a ride. |
I miss venison.
|
so. we're on to dinner???
Pan saute'ed chicken, homemade mashed taters, green beans, salad.... now I get to do the dishes!!! :p  |
Kristen, I've eaten at your house...the food was always great. :D
Well kids, I moved about 100 tons of dirt, 15 tons of 21a and about 3 tons of boulders and plugs. I'm a little acheeeeeeee...but I helped out a friend. I'm cooking chunk venison spaget. Slow cook the meat for 9 hours in a sauce. Then you remove the fat and "gunk" ( if you have children, you know what gunk is ) and cut up the meat. Put that in with minced Garlic, onions and a pinch of salt and stir for about five minutes on Medium in Olive Oil. Add you tomatoes, mushrooms ( if you want that ) and 1.5 cups of red wine. Add a few other spices and let simer for half and hour. YES!!!! :D :D :D I'm thinking Sauteed Elk tips with mushrooms over rice for saturday. What do you all think?? |
