1) 427 Cobra S/C, a real one!!!
2) Mclaren F1 3) '87 Buick GNX 4) Ferrari F430 5) Chevrolet 3500 HD Duramax 4dr. Dually 6) Audi S8 7) '64 Hemi Coronet This list is only good for today as it may change when I wake up in the morning. I do like that Mercedes AMG CLK65 Black Series. Then again a Lightweight Galaxy would be cool..... :D :p |
1. 427 Cobra
2. Noble M400 (More of you would have this on your list if you only knew what it was like to drive it.) 3. 68 Charger R/T 4. McLaren F1 5. Ferrari F40 6. BMW M5 7. VW Karmann Ghia Convertible I currently own 1, 2 and 3 and love every minute of driving them. The Cobra is the most exciting driving experience on a nice day. The Noble is by far the best street legal track car around and a blast on the street too. The Charger is a great old muscle car and can fit the whole family. I only wish I could own or at least drive 4 and 5. 6 is the most enjoyable sedan I have ever driven. 7 I sold long ago and is missed. It was a great open air experience with a level of relaxation that is not possible in the Cobra. |

CdC, Any reason that the Carrera GT didn't make the list over the Aston? It was higher on the list of the 10 most expensive cars than the Aston. http://www.automotoportal.com/articl...s_in_the_world BTW, didn't you say that English cars are lame? You do know that Astons and McLarens are built in the UK, right? I do have to admit, though, that I had never heard of a Koenigsegg CCX. I looked it up, and it does have an impressive set of stats. Thanks for the pointer on that one. Steve |

This thread may have a chance of beating the average age question for most responses! Especially when you have to contemplate your answer for a few days and then come back and change your mind.

It would be a thrill for me as well. The Carrera GT is a completely different animal than a Carrera. Your comments on the other thread seemed more like an insult to AHarris, Canadians, and Brits. To me, your comments seemed to come more from ignorance than humour. You say you were kidding - so be it...and you're right - I don't get that sort of sense of humour. Maybe you should consider using the smilies. OK, hatchet buried (and not in your head).;) See Jamo...no need to close the thread - we would have worked it out eventually. Still - we went from an argument about politics to one about cars - has that ever happened before?? And I never did get to find out what Bernie thinks I have in common with Adams... Steve |
Here's my list..
1- 66 Cobra 427 S/C (duh) 2- 76 Mustang Cobra II 302/4 speed 3- 2006 Ford GT 4- 69 Cougar Eliminator, 428 CJ 5- 04 SVT Lightning 6- 91 Taurus SHO Plus 7- Saleen S7 Sorry, none of the European cars do anything for me. |
I think its interesting that most of us pick a 427 over a 289. Without getting into a 'which is better or worse' argument - is it power, styling, or ??? that makes the 427 more interesting for most?
I personally like the 289s - specifically, the FIA cars and the AC Daytona. I like the history associated with them. Steve |

Good boy, Steve...you earned a lollypop. :p
I didn't list Cobras...already have one...but I'd love an original slabside: BRG/oxblood/painted wires, etc. Sal...I had an 89 SHO...what the heck's a "Plus?" |
Quote:
It was more cosmetics than anything, but with the plastic hood, it was the lightest SHO build, and also the quickest. My old black 91 Plus ran 14.9 @ 93 mph bone stock. Picture of my old 91 Plus... http://members.aol.com/teampowersurge/sho2.jpg |
What the hell's so desireable about the hood...either you or I could lighten our cars substantially by simply letting somebody else drive. :p
I loved my black SHO...put 150k on that sucker driving all over California without any tickets (they were invisable). My law partner and I were staying in Carmel. The next morning at sunrise we took my SHO and his 300ZX Turbo down to Big Sur and back several times, trading cars each time just for sh!ts and giggles. Trust me when I tell ya that going from a high powered front wheel drive to a high powered rear wheel drive (no traction or yaw controls back then) on a damp Highway 1 is a great way to get your blood flowing in the morning. http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/images/CD_SHO.jpg |
