Sometimes wishes come true

I am driving home this evening (Friday, commute time, holiday weekend) and approaching a stoplight with three lanes. Left lane is left turn only, the right lane is right turn only and the middle lane is straight only. Probably 90% of the traffic goes straight and the remaining traffic pretty evenly split between left and right. Naturally with the heavier than usual traffic the straight ahead lane is backed up and is taking two to three cycles of the light to get from the back of the line up through the light. There is another pickup in front of me and a large panel truck in front of him approaching the light. Some dipwad comes roaring up the right turn only lane (zero traffic) and at the last second cuts in between the panel truck and the pickup that is in front of me. I thought several choice words and wished all manner of horrid fates to befall our hero. I get through the intersection and see a Police Officer who had been talking to someone on the side walk step out into the street, point directly at numbnuts, and motion him to pull over. Life is good. :D

Occasionally, I've had a similar experience on the freeway - typically a car will race by me going 100+, weaving in and out of traffic and miles up the road I've seen the same car pulled over by the CHP. It's only happened twice, but it made me feel just a little joy each time.

When I'm out in the Cobra I always have that young guy in the Jap buzz box run up next to me and accerate with blow off valves popping.

Barry on the forum told me a funny story how he was out driving and a young guy tried to race him. Barry ignored him and watched the mirror as the unmarked Police car sat in behind him just off the review mirror. The young guy took off at a top rate of speed followed by the unmarked Police car. It appears he thought he had some one to race.

Mmm he was stopped just up the road when Barry drove past....**)

People in Detroit drive that way all the time.

Jap buzz box - that just happened to me yesterday! The funny thing is that this Jap buzz box sounded like someone was taking a poop! A cops around this time, but is always strange that the Jap buzz box types think that a Cobra owner will take the challenge - on a city street in traffic!
