Sometimes wishes come true
I am driving home this evening (Friday, commute time, holiday weekend) and approaching a stoplight with three lanes. Left lane is left turn only, the right lane is right turn only and the middle lane is straight only. Probably 90% of the traffic goes straight and the remaining traffic pretty evenly split between left and right. Naturally with the heavier than usual traffic the straight ahead lane is backed up and is taking two to three cycles of the light to get from the back of the line up through the light. There is another pickup in front of me and a large panel truck in front of him approaching the light. Some dipwad comes roaring up the right turn only lane (zero traffic) and at the last second cuts in between the panel truck and the pickup that is in front of me. I thought several choice words and wished all manner of horrid fates to befall our hero. I get through the intersection and see a Police Officer who had been talking to someone on the side walk step out into the street, point directly at numbnuts, and motion him to pull over. Life is good.
