Plame eats it...

WASHINGTON (July 19) - A federal judge dismissed former CIA operative Valerie Plame's lawsuit against members of the Bush administration Thursday, eliminating one of the last courtroom remnants of the leak scandal.

:D

Bummer, but of course it would be a waste of taxpayer money anyway. In the end, Bush would simply 'pardon' his cronies and himself!

Bush doesn't pardon anyone who doesn't deserve it. He said so himself. Crap, our whole darn Congress should be on trial as they all have their fingers in illegal activities. Of course stealing tax payers money isn't considered illegal in Washington any more. I think it is now a perk. :(

Plame. Another notch. :)

You've got to hand it to this administration. Between carefully placing favorable judges, invoking "expanded" Executive Privilage, buying into national media and plain old standing firm, they've formed a gutsy political consortium that's hard ...maybe impossible ...to beat in the long run.

Other than the unfortunate timing-of-war fiasco, they've seldom made a recent miscalculation. Even the congressional balance is still so close it doesn't really hurt, almost like a planned risk. That's great politics. They know how to play the game and one has to admire a winner. It may have started with Baker/Reagan ...but now the almost invisible Karl Rove is a tactician genius.

In spite of this not being so great from my powerless middle-class perspective.

Except in this case, there was no need to hand pick a judge...that suit never had a chance in hell of moving forward under long standing jurisdictional precedent and constituted no more than a waste of taxpayer funds and grandstanding by liberal BS artists. Another example of why we need a "loser pays" rule for civil lawsuits in this country. Course, they'll probably appeal just to provide fresh meat to the media dogs.

...not to mention that it's pretty damn clear the media chose to out her.
