Register.com hijacked my domain name!
I registered my domain name, FirstCoastCobraClub.com, with Register.com three years ago. The registration is paid through 2012.
Yesterday I started getting phone calls and e-mails saying the site was not available and the browsers were being taken to a site called Register.com where they were covered up with pop-up advertisements.
Register.com is a pirate? A hacker site? I checked, and they had put their ip address in place of mine without any notification or warning.
When I complained, after phone calls to them and e-mails, they said it must have been a "glitch". Said they would change it back, but it may take "days" to take effect.
It still isn't working.
Can anyone give me a clue about where to report them?
Tom
